Chapter 6

GUESS WHO'S BACK! It's me. Here we go!
Genomia's POV

It's been three days, and i'm back, finally. Same house, same door, as always. I'm surprised to find myself slightly anxious. Afterall, Ella could totally say no and i'd have to deal with whatever happens next.

I knock. Silence. I hear fumbling inside, and the door suddenly opens. It's Ella. Of course it's Ella. She looks slightly sweaty and nervous, as if she'd been running or something.

Before I can say anything, she tackle-hug me, and I almost fall to the ground. I'm surprised at first, but I hug her back. It feels so right.

"I missed you..." She admits, without looking at me, her face hidden in the crook of my neck.

"I missed you, too.." I say, and it's almost an understatement. She moves slightly from her current position. Our faces are so close to each other. She looks deeply into my eyes, and I almost flinch.

We don't say anything for a while, but I know what she wants to say. I don't think we'd be able to live apart.

"What do we do now?" She asks, her eyes still locked with mine.

"We leave." I say, and then, after a pause, "Do you have a car, Ella?"

She silently points to an old blue car in the driveway, one I hadn't noticed before. It's perfect.

"Good. You go take your things upstairs, write something to your friends, anything you want to do before we leave. I'll handle the rest." I smile at her, because I know this scares her, but I want her to understand that it's gonna be alright.

"The rest?" She asks, and I can see the slight worry in her eyes.

"Yeah, your parents, everything.." I don't want to give too much details. She'll know, eventually. But not now. She isn't ready.

"Oh, okay." She doesn't push it further, and im glad. We seperate from each other, slowly, and she leads me inside.

What had to be done has been done.
We silently close the door after us, and Ella takes a moment to look at her house, probably for the last time in a while.

She took pretty much all of her things with her, and I help her carry it to the car. Once everything's settled in, I ask her "Do you mind if I drive?"

Ella looks surprised. "You know how to drive?" Well, duh. "Of course, don't worry."

We sit in the car, and I stay silent for a while, until Ella gives me the keys.
"I can't belive i'm doing this. I can't belive i'm leaving everything behing to go with you." She says, and she sounds overwhelmed.

I look at her, and I give her my softest smile. I gently put my hand on hers, and she doesn't move back. "It's gonna be okay. We're together, now. And i'm not gonna leave you." She sighs, and I can feel some of the tension ease from her shoulders.

I start the car. Outside, the sun is starting to set, but it's beautiful. Ella looks at me, and I want to kiss her so bad. "Where are we going?" She asks

"Wherever you want to"
