Ella's POV
////////
I dreamt of her again. She's standing on my front porch, looking like she's waiting for someone. When I appear in her vision field, her beautiful green eyes twinkle like the ones of an excited child would. She flashes the most wonderful smile i've ever seen, and her long ebony hair gently moves with the wind. Before I can ask the mysterious stranger anything, I immediatly wake up.

2 weeks now. I've had the same dream for 2 weeks in a row. Always the same girl. Always the same thing. It can't be a coincidence. I've never even seen that girl, ever! And yet, everytime I see her in my dreams, I can't help but sigh at how splendid she is.

I shake myself up a little. It's time to go to school, even if I don't want to.

I lazily get out of my bed, not even bothering to make it. My vision still isn't clear, and I almost collapse on the short way from my bed to my closet. I take whatever I can find, and start dressing up as slowly as possible.

Once I look relatively decent, I go downstairs for breakfast. My parents have already gone to work, and I have to go take the bus in half an hour. I make myself a piece of toast, and I scroll on my phone as I slowly eat.

I quickly finish my meal, not wanting to be late, and I go upstairs. I snatch my school bag and I brush my teeths because as fast as I can. Im always a little last minute in the morning. What can I say? My bed is so comfortable.

Grabbing a sweater, I finally head outside in a hurry. It's starting to be a little chilly outside, but I like it. The wind is gently caressing my face as I walk, and I gaze at the sky dreamily. It's a rich blue today, without any trace of clouds in it.

My toughts are suddenly interrupted when I notice my bus, a few meters away. It's gonna leave without me.
"Shit", I mutter.
I can't afford to be late.

I run towards the bus stop and manage to catch it, just on time.
I sit in the back, trying to catch my breath. I don't have a car of my own yet, so I still have to take the bus, wich is kind of a pain.

After 30 long minutes, the bus finally arrives at the college. I quickly hop off, with a few other students that im not really familiar with.

As soon as I put a feet on school ground, Im attacked by my friend, Emma.
"What the hell where you doing?"
I sigh. Emma, always dramatic. Im what? 5 minutes late?
"I almost missed the bus. And we got stuck in traffic"
She seems satisfied with my answer, and doesn't say anything else.

We walk slowly to the school's doors, and once we're in, we immediatly go to our lockers.

"What class do you have?"
I briefly stop what im doing.
"Biology, if I remember right"
I resume my task of trying to find my books trough the mess that is my locker.
"Ugh. I have maths" Emma is obviously deceived.
"Well, good luck with that" Im sincere. Math is one hell of a class.

I manage to finally gather my books, and close my locker, not without any struggle. The first bell rings, and people start leaving to find their locals.
"See you later" I say to Emma, as she grumpily leave to go to class.
"Yeah, later"
//////
I sit at my desk, trying to listen. The class has started only a while ago, but im already tired. Normally, I love biology, but I guess I didn't have enough sleep.

The teacher is explaining some stuff about genetics, and I listen to only half of what he's saying.

After what seems like forever, the bell rings again, telling us that the period is over. I take my stuff and leave, still not completly woken up. I wish I could've stayed in bed.

I only have time to go take my books in my locker, the next period is already starting. History, my favorite.

I greet my teacher and take my seat. The bell rings for the second time and the class finally starts.

I try to listen more carefully this time. Im still drowsy, but still less than this before. The teacher, Mrs Katrina, is talking about the Second World War. I already know a lot about it, but it's still interesting.
Time passes quickly, and before I can even notice, it's already lunch time.
//////
When I arrive at the cafeteria, I take my usual seat at our group's table. Everyone is already here. I quickly greet the members of the Queer Squad, and start eating.

Yes, you heard well. My group of friends is nicknamed "the Queer Squad". Pretty easy to guess why. There's Emma, who is Bi. She's my best friend, and a nerd, kinda like me. Then, there is Nikola and Sam, the power couple of the group. They're honestly adorable.
There's also Juliann, a bubbly and always happy Pan girl. Xena, the nonbinary folk of the group, shy, but always there. And finally, there's me, the lesbian. I mean, can you blame me? Girls are adorable.

"So, Ella, how was your morning?" I look over at Sam, who asked the question.
"Great, I guess. Im tired"
Juliann suddenly looks at me.
"Did you have that dream again?"
I sigh heavily.
"What do you think?"

They all look sorry for me. I told them about my weird dreams, but no one knows what to do to help me about it.
Nikola slams his hand on the table. "Girl, this has to stop. We all see what's it doing to you."
I wish I knew how.
Xena suddenly opens their mouth, and everyone stops talking.
"You really should talk about it to someone, Ella. Maybe see a doctor or something. It's clearly affecting you negatively."

I try to take a lively tone.
"Thanks, Xena. I'll consider it."
I appreciate their concern but, right now, im not ready to talk about it to a doctor. I feel like other people shouldn't know about my dreams, for some reasons.

Everyone finishes eating in silence, and then we talk about random things.
////
Im sitting in my 4th class of the day, math. The teacher is letting us do alone work, but I barely understand, and my brain isn't cooperating. I sigh as I look at the clock. Only 5 minutes left, and then im free. I pretend to write down on my paper, until the teacher tells us that we can put away our stuff. The school's bell finally ring, and I rush out of the class.

I make a quick stop to my locker, then I leave the school for the day. I only have to wait 2 minutes for the bus at the stop. I sit quietly in the back, like I always do. After what seems like hours, the bus finally arrives at my destination. I hop off of it, and it's colder outside than what I had expected.

I walk slowly, my legs feeling numb. I contemplate the sky once again. It's as gorgeous as it was this morning, a deep blue.

Once im near my house, my heart skips a beat. Even from afar, I can see that there is something unusual. There is a human form, waiting on my porch.

And, even from afar, I know who this is. I clearly know that it's not possible, but there she is.

It's the girl from my dreams.
