Chapter Forty

Katherine's POV:

"May she rest in peace." Was all I heard the priest say. One by one, each vampire put a black rose on top of my mother's coffin. Soon her coffin was surrounded by black roses.

I didn't hear the thousands of condolences that each vampire gave me. I couldn't feel the hugs and kisses that they gave me either.

I felt numb.

Soon, only Sepherus, Kiona, Noah, Angelina, Headmaster Elizabeth and I were in the church.

I kneel in front of her coffin.

I made a fireball in my hand. Slowly, not wanting to do it. I started manipulating the fire so that the coffin will slowly burn from toe to head. At the same time, I told my mother the following words.

"I promise you, mother. I will kill all humans. Only because of you I will leave the little ones. But they will pay. They will suffer, just as I have, just as my people have. I will make each of them lose what is dear to their heart, and one by one they will lose hope. Until I get to Otoniel. He will suffer the most. I promise. I don't care if I have to do the unthinkable, I will kill them all. I will kill them all! They will pay!"

I hit the coffin with a last fire blow before her body was consummated with flames. I stood up.

I was shaking, my hands were in fists.

I surrounded the rest of the coffin and the black roses with a blue fire. Making them exploded one by one, making the burning funeral a view to remember.

"Kiona...Do you remember the time portal you put me in when I trained to save Sepherus?" I asked. "Yes, my queen." "Open as many as you need. We will train the vampires and werewolves."

"But my queen. That would take incredible amounts of power!" She explained. "How many warlocks? How many witches?" I asked as I turned around. "A few hundreds." She said. "Get them. How much time?"

"My queen, it would take me a week to get to the witches and warlocks. And another week for all of the time portal cubs to be made. And probably another week to train them in a lapse of a year in the time portal."

"Well, make it two weeks. I won't give you more time. No excuses. Do you hear me?" I commanded her with my queen tone. She gulped and nodded.

"Baby, this is reckless. It's thousands of warriors! You can't-do that!" Sepherus said getting close to me. "Watch me." I simply said and continue walking heading to the palace.

"But my queen! Even if they come out as soldiers, humans still have the machines and they are ordinary vampires, not purebloods!" Angelina said.

"Mother mention something about powers through magic. We'll make that work. Sepherus please take care of that. Now, get ready. I want the royal guard to go to the cave where the werewolves where, dig all the metal that is there, all the Esmeralda rock and make armor, wolf armor as well and make military tanks. Torpedoes, weapons I want it all. Go on! We can't waste any time! We need to avenge my mother. I won't allow any more victims. I won't allow any more attacks from the humans. GO!"

I exit the church and outside was a group of vampires and a small group of werewolves. I recognized them as the rebels. I didn't have time for that.

"My queen. Please forgive us." Were the first words that came out of their mouths. That's a good start.

"We were so focused on the past that we didn't see the real threat...humans... we will work along with your side my queen. We have some military strategies that might give us an advantage. We want to eliminate the real threat. They have enslaved us in this part of the world for many years. As for the werewolves... they have forgiven us and we have forgiven them. We will work together for our own sake." One of the elder vampires said.

I nodded. "Sounds good. Come. Find the people you know have military experience."

That's good, at least they are having conscious that this isn't a game. We're going to war for our freedom.

I could hear the capital running around. Orders were being given here and then.

We made our way to one of the many empty rooms were a big round table was in the middle.

"Alright. Give your ideas." I said as I sat at the commanding chair.

Around 20 people were around me. Some gave outstanding ideas, other not too much. At the end, there were only 10 people around me. "You'll be named commanders of the armies. Each fraction will be made up of 150 men. Each with a captain and lieutenant. You will not only give ideas but also will be on the battlefield, as will I. Understood?"

They all gave me a nod.

Hours later, Sepherus arrived.

"Katherina. I found the solution. There is one way of giving power to all the normal vampires. " I smiled.

Everything was going as plan.

Before the month ends I will attack the other side of the world.
