Delia tapped the desk and looked around the not-so-crowded café. She sighed, gazing longingly at a waitress who carried a tray with a dozen coffees and plates of delicious looking lemon cakes. The empty cup of Cappuccino lay on the table in front of me; and as Jess and Noah returned from their brief private conversation, I noticed she had crumpled her drink. I noticed her moist eyes too, but I did not wish to point that out.

"I'm hungry", Samantha said, voicing out my thoughts. Natasha and Ethan nodded.

I inhaled deeply, before taking a menu card from Sam. My eyes flitted over the fancy cursive.

"Oreo milkshake!" Jess said, jabbing a finger at the other menu card.

"I'll have some fries", Sam said, waving her hand at me.

"Double that", said Ethan. I looked at Amber, who looked distraught. "I..." she said, her eyes indecisively shifting from Double Cheeseburger and Right Said Banana Bread.

Noah leaned over to Jess and pointed at a Caesar salad. "I'll just have that."

Ethan's face scrunched up into one of pure confusion and disgust. ''Did you just order a plate of leaves?''

"Not just leaves, it-'' Noah started, but a waiter fortunately interrupted his fitness lecture.

I looked up to silently thank the person who'd stopped

The waiter was honestly one of the prettiest men I'd laid my eyes upon. His ebony hair was messy even after he smoothed it over using the back of his hand. His grey-green eyes twinkled with a cheerful spirit and his heart shaped face lit up with a congenial smile.

''Can I have your order?"

I cleared my throat. "Yes; two plates of fries, a Double Cheeseburger and Right Said Banana Bread, a Caesar salad, a plate of lemon cakes and a -"

"The Kiwi milkshake", Natasha said.

Jess and Amber shook their head in unison. "You're allergic to kiwis." Ethan said, running a hand through his dark hair.

"Okay, make it three plates of fries'', Natasha said, looking at the menu with resignation.

"So, that's three plates of fries, a Double Cheeseburger, lemon cakes, Right Said Banana Bread, a Caesar salad and an Oreo milkshake. Right?''

I nodded and gave him a little smile.

"Be right back", he said with a smile. As I watched him walk away, I heard a little giggle and I turned around as quickly as I could.

"Deli, wh-''

"Don't call me that."

"-at do you think you're doing?" Ethan continued, without missing a beat.

I blushed crimson. "What do you mean?'' I said, dragging out the syllables.

"That's Skylar Ilyss; the son of Victor Ilyss.''

I raised an eyebrow. I nervously clutched my phone tighter, hoping no one saw my phone wallpaper - BROKEN WINGS in a light shade of green underneath a well-photoshopped cut-out of Victor with his bandmates at the Les Photoshoot 2015.

Victor was the lead singer of the band, and had a voice as sweet as honey; backed with the divine bass guitar by his sister, Janet Ilyss and the skillful drum beats by Aidan Perry; it was no wonder their band had millions of fans.

"His dad's so rich; why does he work in a small café in the middle of nowhere?" Natasha said, and Samantha curiously nodded.

"Because my dad wants me to stand on my own feet."
