"Chemics, Intellectuals, and Magics, report to the auditorium at once."

"What? I thought it was just for combats." My classmate, Cerium said, tilting his head in confusion. I looked at him and shrugged. Xenon tapped my shoulder.

"Come on, we have to go to the auditorium." He said, smiling and grabbing my hand. "We have to get there quickly. Everyone else has already left!" He pulled me out of my seat and down the hall towards the auditorium. Xenon, being a Chemic, had very strong emotions. He could also easily influence other's emotions. But that's just his personality.

Xenon practically dragged me down the hallway, smile never fading. When we finally reached the auditorium door, he let go of my hand, and pushed open the doors. I saw Zinc wave his hand for us to come sit with him. Zinc was in a different class than Xenon and I, but we are still really close.

Xenon and I walked over, and sat beside Zinc.  Mr. Fermium, the dean of students, held up a hand for everyone to be quiet. I've never heard thirty-seven kids be so loud before, or get so quiet so fast. Our attention was turned to the dean, and nothing else. My electricity sparked from how nervous I was. It was visibly running through my fingertips, and accidentally shocked Zinc.

"Hey, stop sparking." He whispered, still staring and waiting for the dean to begin. I quickly scanned over the students who were with us. I saw heat radiation, along with cold, electric sparks, and heard a slight static noise in the back of my head. I assumed it was just from Copper. She could make you deaf if she wanted to.

"I am very sorry to alarm you this early in the school day, I know that this is frightening, but it can not be kept a secret." Mr. Fermium started, looking over us with a stern, serious, but also nervous gaze. "I was alerted that scientists are trying to disband our school. That may not seem like a problem to you, but if they do that, they will send us to labs to be dissected and preform experiments on us."

I heard a sharp gasp and turned my head toward the noise, and saw Sulfur stand up, excuse herself to the bathroom, but halfway out the door collapse. She was caught by Titanium's telekinesis though, so she didn't even hit the floor. Titanium turned his head to the dean, hand still motioning to keep Sulfur up.

"Nurse's office." Mr. Fermium said, motioning his hand for Titanium to do it. Titanium stood up, walked to the door, and looked around the corner, then we saw Sulfur zoom past, still unconscious and we heard a loud "Thank you, Titanium!". He just nodded and walked back to his seat.

With everyone's attention back on Mr. Fermium, he could continue with the speech. He cleared his throat before he started again, stuttering.

"And they know we will refuse, s-so they are sending an army to fight us." He said rather calmly, compared to everyone else in the room.  I held my breath and froze on the spot. W-what? He didn't just say........ He couldn't have......  I heard a girl break into tears, and people say they wanted to fight back. Xenon turned around and looked at me, about to break into tears. I hugged him and he let out a deep sigh. After that, Xenon turned around and focused his attention on the dean again.

"I know that this is very scary, I'm scared too. But we must fight for what we believe in. That is why I am ordering an army to fight back. Although every student will have a role to play, not all of you will actually be fighting." He said looking at us with a more brave, but at the same time, terrified look in his eyes.

"An army...... to fight against them? You must be scared shitless if you think we are going to fight all the battles for you!" Carbon yelled, standing up and glaring at the dean. The dean flinched, as if taken aback.

"Now, Carbon, I will be fighting with you." Mr. Fermium said politely. "I will not personally do any physical fighting, since I have no fighting ability, but I will help organize and come up with strategies."

Carbon still seemed annoyed, for his rolled his eyes, and then just sat back down. We were all talking so loudly that it seemed as if the whole school could hear us.

"I will announce the jobs in the afternoon. You may be dismissed."

Xenon still seemed like he was about to burst into tears, so I had to talk to him the whole way back to class just to make sure he didn't cry. Mostly he just closed his eyes and nodded, as if he were in pain. He was a very unique chemic, as instead of working with poison and such, his power worked with the chemicals already inside of him. Every one of his emotions was especially strong, and gave him different assets. For example, when he was mad, he could make even Gallium shake in fear. And Gallium is very good at hiding emotions. When Xenon was nervous, he made everyone else nervous. Basically his emotions were about twenty times stronger.

When we finally got back to class, the combats were waiting for us. There were only four students who were part of another group, so it didn't cause too much disrupt. I glanced over at the clock and it read 10:46, so fourteen more minutes in my Language Arts class. I didn't even bother listening to what the teacher said, I was so nervous. All of the sudden, Xenon stood up, and asked if he could use the restroom.

"Oh, of course Xenon." Ms. Nihonium gave him a sympathetic look. Everyone could see he was on the brink of crying.

"Thank you Miss...." Xenon's voice trailed off, and tears started sliding down his face. He turned tail and headed out of the classroom.
