To Joan and Tony Adduce, two beacons that lit my path towards salvation and beyond. It was a long journey for me to find the Lord, to come to a place of commitment to His will in my life. Along the way, whenever I strayed from the path, the witness that Joan and Tony displayed in their everyday life brought me back in line.
Too often people contemplate the truth of Christianity by the actions of Christians, when it should only be looked at in the light of Christ. Christians are only human and imperfect. The difference is that they are forgiven by their faith in Christ.
Joan and Tony were always a positive influence, and represented Christianity at its best. They never forced their faith on anyone, but were always ready to give an explanation of their beliefs at any time. What stood out for me was that they always walked the walk; they always lived their faith. There was no hypocrisy in their life, and that was a standard bearer for me. I looked at them and knew what being faithful to Christ was really about.
Tony has gone to be with the Lord, but I still speak to, and see, Joan from time to time. They probably never knew the effect they had on my life, and that is why it is so important for Christians to live their faith at all times. You never know who you will affect, or when.
