Thank you for 200 reads, it means a lot to me even if it is small in comparison to other books <3

My instant reaction to that one word was to pull my hand away from Simon's shoulder as if I had been stung. Hurriedly I sent him a reassuring glance; it's not you, it's me. He returned the glance before tilting his head towards the awkward shuffling in the rest of the kitchen. Now or never.

"Josh?" Ethan asked, barely speaking above a whisper, "Did you break up with-"

"Yes," I quickly interrupted, "But she broke up with me. About a week ago actually. I just didn't want to bring it up." He nodded understandingly and I felt Harry's hand rubbing my back gently. The relief was indescribable, as if the more people I told, the lighter the burden on my back became.

I turned my attention back to JJ and the situation at hand, curiously watching him type on his phone, pause for a moment and respond to a vibration. Finally he looked up and then down again, as if he was checking something.

"So, what do you think?" he asked with a warning in his tone; I had a strong feeling the question had a right answer. I also had a suspicion that Simon would not be answering favourably.

"No way," he replied predictably, "You've used us enough. At this point you don't even want views; you're just fucking with our heads. Don't you think Josh might want some time to get over his five year relationship before being forced into anything with someone else, never mind me?" Jide raised his eyebrows, continuing to ignore us and looked back down at his phone - another text.

"Maybe this will persuade you," he finally spoke, a light smirk tracing his cheekbone as each of our phones began to light up with alerts. I nervously unlocked my own, hands shaking and typing in the passcode wrong three times. On my third attempt Simon, biting his lip, tried to stop me.

"Hey, Josh," he warned softly, "You might not want to do this in here." Too late. I had opened my phone to a stream of notifications from twitter, the first from her.

"Sad to see someone is moving on so quickly. I thought we were meant to last."

I didn't even need to be tagged in the tweet for people to catch on and bombard me with accusations, questions, messages of support. The room continued to sit in deathly quiet until it was surprisingly broken.

"God, she's a fake bi-" Vikk spat out venomously before Tobi cut across him. I suddenly remembered that he already knew what had happened.

"Yo, Vikk; not now," Tobi murmured, a worried eye trained on my face that was undoubtedly doing a terrible job of hiding my emotions as I stared unseeingly at the timeline of tweets flying by, words in all capitals standing out every so often.

Better off. Cheater. Broken hearted. Who is it?

"He's right," I choked out quietly, "I didn't do anything to deserve this." I could feel a slight quiver in my lip and my angry view of JJ was slightly blurred. He almost looked guilty, shuffling his feet as everyone shot him various emotionally fuelled looks.

Vikk, the boy who lived off of other people's trust, looked as betrayed as I felt by her. His eyes were wide and sad, as if even after everything, he had retained a scrap of hope for JJ and that piece he had relied on was slowly burning up before him.

Tobi had the protective look of a brother imprinted on his face. He flicked between me and Jide, sitting up a bit straighter, waiting for me to react.

Ethan and Harry looked as angry as I had ever seen them. They seemed to be holding back, maybe for my sake, but they could have easily ran at him if they weren't quietly grabbing on to each other beneath the kitchen counter.
