*Hey hey again! Double update today! Fun fact, SummyPariah tagged me in a real person fan fiction competition she's doing (ie, fics about real people like this one and NOT like my Draco Malfoy one if anyone here reads that. Axl is real, Draco is fictitious). Now, I've read her writing and it's incredible so I'm incredibly honoured she'd tag me but I also don't feel any of the current RP fics I have up are currently up to par sooooo....if anyone reading this is writing one and would like to try out for Smutty's awards, I definitely recommend you check out her page! I do believe she's accepting entries until September 30th so get in now!*
My heart slammed itself into my chest harder than Axl slammed on the brakes in front of Erin's house. "We're going inside," Axl growled, kicking the truck's door open. Before I could stop him, he was already marching up the front yard. I threw the door on my side open and chased after him into the house. "ERIN!" Axl bellowed, letting himself in. Madison and Erin were right there on the couch, both of them scowling as we rudely came in and interrupted their conversation.
"Just what the hell do either of you want?" Erin demanded as she stood up.
Axl shrugged. "We just came here for Scarlette's shit," he stated as if this was the most obvious thing in the world.
Erin frowned. "Come back here for her shit?" she repeated. "Well according to HER, she's been leaving it at her boyfriend's house. Oh, what was his name again? Jeff Isbell? I'm not fucking stupid, I know you've been seeing Izzy! Izzy who just so happens to be AXL'S BEST FRIEND!" She pointed at me. "You've been using him to screw around with Axl behind my back even after I told you that he's-"
"Erin, we don't have anything," I protested. "We're just friends-"
"Not according to Madison or Axl! How many other people are you 'just friends' with, Turner?" Erin spat.
"It doesn't fucking matter!" Axl snapped back. "And why are you so mad about what we're doing unless you're jealous? You're just pissy that Scar's got something you lost-"
"I didn't lose anything-"
"Erin, please," I begged. "We don't have anything going on."
Madison scoffed. "That's not what it looked like at the movie shop," she giggled. "You looked pretty comfortable when Axl began groping you!"
Erin laughed irritably. "Oh! So there IS something going on!" she exclaimed. "Yet YOU keep telling me there isn't? Who am I more likely to believe, Scarlette? The chick I don't know who just barged into my house with my ex freaking husband or my best friend? Huh?"
I stepped back. She had a point and I knew that. She was mad and I knew that too. I wished the plan with Izzy would've worked. I wish I would've stayed at the Hell House. I wish I wouldn't have left Axl at the park. I wish Adrianna wouldn't have come up with that dumb plan to piss off Nikki. I wish I'd never walked into the Hell House. I wish I would've called Tommy or Vince or even Mick. I wish I would've stayed in North Carolina-
"Get out of my house. You have nothing here. All the stuff we bought for you was bought using Madison's card so it's technically hers," Erin ordered. "Leave and feel free to NOT come back."
"You're just letting her off the hook like that?" Madison asked.
Erin scoffed. "Two little problem children deserve each other, don't they?" she mused. "Now get the hell out."
I headed for the door but Axl stopped me just for a moment. "Erin, just one thing before we leave," he said. All of us looked at him but Axl didn't seem to mind. He was a musician which meant he was used to people paying attention to him. Without a word, Axl yanked me in and planted his lips firmly on mine. It felt like forever and I froze, knowing both the brunnettes were probably plotting our deaths in their heads as we stood there. Axl didn't care evidently and playfully nibbled on my bottom lip before pulling back. "That's for you," he smirked. "Let's go, Les."
While Madison yelled something about "assholes", I marched outside ahead of Axl and climbed into the truck. Axl followed, snickering and laughing at the calls from the house as he jumped into the driver's seat. "She wouldn't have been willing to make up with you with that harpy at her side," he chuckled, turning the vehicle on. "And I got to piss her off a final time."
"You think this is funny, huh?" I hissed. "Dude, seriously? I'm living with strangers and Erin seemed super cool. I wanted to-"
"To what?" Axl interrupted. "Make friends? Leslie, you have plenty of friends-"
"Stop calling me by my middle name."
"You have Izzy. You have Duff. You have Slash. You have the girls. You have me-"
"You?! You're crazier than the director for A Nightmare on Elm Street!" I barked. "You think any of THAT helped?!"
Axl sent me a frosty blue glance but pulled out of the neighbourhood with a slight smile. "But you're not denying we're friends," he mused. "And it did help. Erin wouldn't accept you if you're going to be hanging out with us and if that's the case, do you really need someone like that? She's just Nikki Sixx without the drugs and she's hardly even that since you actually love Nikki but you don't know her."
"Nikki would've let me hang out with anyone," I pointed out.
"So she is worse than him," he laughed. "Leslie, you don't get it. I just helped you. Erin hates you now simply for hanging out with me and Izzy. Even Sixx couldn't hate you for that. Plus, you and Izzy were walking on eggshells around her and Madison. You don't have to do that with us. If you don't believe me, Adrianna and Pamela should already be at the Hell House and they're going to dress you up for the Troub. Try hanging out with them and see how different it is. I just helped you cut out another toxic person."
"Whatever," I muttered, curling up and folding my arm. I put my feet up on the dashboard and glared at the stupid Keds. "Pretend to be a saint all you want but that doesn't mean I'm going to worship you like one."
"I never asked you to."
I didn't look at him and stayed focused on my shoes. "Whatever," I repeated. "Just take me back to the Hell House."
"If that's going to keep you from sulking," he shrugged. "We'll go home."
