Chapter 4 - Awkward.

When Natalie told me she needed to go and get ready for school I didn't notice it was five in the morning. We had been talking all night. I felt tired but I didn't care. I got up out of bed and walked towards Katie's room she was sleeping peacefully and I really didn't want to wake her but I had to.

When she finally woke up she groaned in complaint but then ran towards the bathroom we had built into her room because she always used mine. Riley and I had our own bathroom but Katie didn't. She always complained so for her thirteenth birthday we built her one that is connected to he room.

I laughed at her and made her bed.

When I was finished I went and had a shower, straightened my hair and brushed my teeth. I had dark circles under my eyes from the lack of sleep. But it wasn't really noticeable. I was glad that by the time I was finished putting on some denim shorts and a white singlet that Riley was gone.

When I walked into Katie's room I noticed a blue sun dress spread out on her bed with some black converse. I cocked an eyebrow and walked towards her bathroom, sure enough there she was applying makeup and curling her hair. I smiled at her as she started shoving me out of her bathroom because there was apparently 'girls only' items that she didn't want me to see.

When she was finally done with her makeup and hair, she walked over to the dress and groaned. I got up from her beanbag that was in the corner of the room. I couldn't help but laugh at her facial expression. Just looking at the dress disgusted her.

"What's with the dress Katie? Why so girly all of a sudden? Please tell me you aren't turning girly on me." I was laughing but I was being serious.

"I'm trying something different, but I really don't want to wear this thing. I just wanna wear your shirt and some jeans, but no, because I like a guy I have to dress girly, says my friend" her voice was winey and she was pouting.

"Go and get one of my shirts Katie, if you like someone be yourself not someone they want you to be."

She smiled and ran into my room. When she came back she had one of my green shirts. She walked over to her wardrobe and grabbed out a black pair of skinny jeans and of course her green converse. She told me to get out and make breakfast. So that is exactly what I did.

I made Katie some chocolate chip pancakes, whilst I ate a toasted cheese sandwich with a coffee.

The look Katie had one her face when she came into the kitchen was priceless. She was grinning like crazy as she grabbed her pancakes and some ice cream. I told her she couldn't have ice cream but because Riley wasn't home I let her have it.

Once the dishes were clean I grabbed Katie's bag and chucked it in the back seat of my car, she scolded me because she said she had her perfume bottle and laptop in there. She was frowning for a while once she realised she had forgotten her charger. I laughed and gave her mine.

We had arrived at school earlier than normal. I didn't realise we left at seven instead of eight. The car park was empty and there was a few people scattered around campus. I looked at our table and of course there was Natalie, looking gorgeous as ever.

I smiled and Katie noticed, she followed my gaze and was grinning like an idiot. "You like her don't ya Jake?" She was chanting 'Jacob loves the new girl' as she ran away from the car. I shook my head and started to walk over to Natalie.

When she noticed me she stood up and started to drag me to the woods.

Crap! What did I do now?

When we got to the woods Natalie started crying, tears were spilling from her eyes. Her eyes were rimmed in red, and her eyes were glassy.

I wrapped my arms around her. Instead of letting me hold her she pushed me away. "Don't!" Was all she screamed before taking a few steps backwards.

Her words hurt. She had pushed me away. "Why didn't you tell me you had a girlfriend! Instead of playing me!!"

Then it clicked Jake must of told her that. I stood there just staring at her in shock. "I knew it was true! Jake was right your a cheating bastard!" More tears spilled down her cheeks.

"What Jake told you is not true. I do not have a girlfriend and I never have. You are the closets thing I've had to a girlfriend. I would never hurt you" I held my arms out for her. She ran straight into my embrace and buried her face into my chest. "Is that the truth? Was Jake lying?" Her voice was muffled and broken and it made my heart break.

"I would never lie to you" I smiled and tried to reassure her that I was telling her the truth, she looked up at me and placed a kiss on my lips. She quickly pulled away and started wiping the tears off of her cheeks.

"I'm gonna kick Jakes ass for making you think that!" My jaw was clenched and I was ready to hit something.

"Please, don't fight him because of what he told me" her voice was croaky, her throat was probably soar.

"He's gonna pay for making you think these things about me! He just wants you all for himself!" My voice rising higher with every word I spoke.

"Your the only one I want" was all she said before crashing her lips against mine, she wrapped her arms around my neck as I wrapped mine around her waist.

The kiss was heating up fast, her legs ended up wrapping around my waist and somehow she had gotten my shirt off. I was biting her lip softly trying to get her to open them. She seemed to get the message because as soon as she opened her mouth my tongue found hers, they were rubbing against each other in sync.

My hand slowly started to trail up her shirt, as soon as my hand got to her breast she pulled away and shook her head, that's when I knew the moment was over.

I had just put on my shirt when she started pulling me back to campus, it was already third period, we had skipped periods one and two.
