Let's get this over with

Caitlin's P.O.V

I looked up at Barry, looking at him, his smile, his red shirt, his skinny jeans he loved so much, and his black/white converse.  "What are you looking at?" "Nothing, just wondering." I smiled. I looked back down, into my computer screen, looking over medical text. Barry was still standing over me, reading with me, however, i knew that he finished a long time ago. "Barry, grab a seat this text is long, and talks about how the cells, regenerate quickly connecting it to a force." He nodded, and quickly grabbed a seat. We must have sat there for over an hour. I kept telling him, he could go since he could probably read than in about 2 minutes. Yet, he insisted.  It was about noon, when we finished. Still no meta humans, it seemed  like a very slow day. 

"Hey Cisco!" "Yeah?" "Cait and I are heading out to Jitters, want to come?" I was still, getting my things, purse, and car keys. I heard Cisco yell back, "Yeah, hold up I'll go to the cortex, in a sec." I started laughing, "Why are you laughing," Barry started to smile, "I don't know, just Cisco, makes me laugh." I looked at Barry one more time, then I heard Cisco walking up to the cortex. 

W arrived at Jitters, via my car. Barry insisted, he take us, but I told him, I insisted on driving. We were all in line, already knowing, what we wanted, I wanted an iced flash, Cisco a frappe, and Barry a hot flash. As we got in the front of the counter, I decided to order for us all. "We will get 1 large vanilla frappe, 1 large iced flash, and 1 large hot flash as well." "Great! That will be, $15.65." Barry started pulling out money, but i said, "My treat." He seemed to start protesting so I sad, "Next one is on you," and smiled at him. We sat upstairs, where there seemed to be nobody. "I say we go out to a bar tonight," Cisco said practically jumping out of his seat. I remembered what happened 2 months ago and I got goose bumps, I looked at Barry, we never even talked about that night, we just went on with our lives, like that kiss never happened well whatever it was. "Cisco I don't think it's a good idea, me and alcohol do not mix well." Barry looked at me and said, "Cait, can I talk to you for a sec?" Cisco looked at us weird and raised an eyebrow watching us carefully. "I know we never talked about that night, I am sorry, but-" "Barry it was 2 months ago, I am past it, I just do not agree with alcohol and that is it, nothing else." He stayed silent feeling bad, so I just said, "We should go back to Cisco and I suggest you forget what happened that night, I was drunk and acting stupid." Just as I walked away, Barry grabbed my arm. "Cait you can't ignore this forever." "But I cant try." With that said I walked back to Cisco and chatting with him, if I should get a dog. The whole time, Barry was just listening making comments here and there, but never fully there. "We should head back to S.T.A.R Labs, it is already 2 in the afternoon." Cisco and Barry both agreed. We started walking out to my yellow bug, and I saw Cisco get in, but Barry didn't. "Hey aren't you coming?" "No, uh I have a lunch date with iris, but I will uh see you guys in an hour." "I could give you a lift if you want." "That's fine, I don't mind." With that he was gone, leaving a gust of wind. 

I sat in the driver's seat, Cisco sitting in the passenger's seat. "Hey what was going on with you and Barry, as soon as I mentioned going clubbing, both of you looked sort of pale." "Just something that happened 2 months ago, it is complicated." "As being your Best Friend, I can handle it." He smiled, teeth and all, which made me smile as well. "Okay but you can not say a word to anyone, okay?" "Okay." "2 months ago, I ran into Barry in a bar, I started drinking, and this guy got too touchy feely and touched me, Barry sped us out of there knocking out the uy as well, however, we decided to go to another bar, which was our second mistake. He drove us to another bar closer to my apartment. I had wayyy to much to drink, so he decided that we should leave and I agreed. I threw up outside, and he held my hair up. When we drove to my apartment, he helped me walk up the stairs and actually go in.  He was still in the room when I tried to take off my dress, but he was looking away. I told him I needed help taking my dress off, he was about to use his speed, but i stopped him, and told him to live in the moment. Then, I leaned in, he leaned in and we kissed. But it didn't stop there. We were super close to actually having sex, he didn't completely see me naked, just bra and panties and I saw him with just boxers, but it stopped there. After that he dressed both of us and I started crying. I said, "did you think I was Iris, and that I can't be used as a suppressor for his emotions." He denied all of that, but before he left he said we would talk about what happened, but I didn't so he dropped it, I actually had to beg him to forget about what happened, and he did. A week later he and Iris were together." Cisco and I just sat there quietly outside of Jitters. "Please say something, Cisco." "Do you like him?" "No, he is with Iris." "Why didn't you want to talk about that night?" "That would just make it real." He nodded, gathering his thoughts carefully. "I think, you should talk with Barry." "We said we wouldn't," "Then why were you and him arguing about inside?" "He wanted to talk about what happened and I didn't." "Just talk it out, it can't be that bad, I'll even be there with you." "I think it's better if I do it alone." He nodded, smiling trying to make me feel better. Cisco told me to call him now, which I agreed to. I pulled out my phone and pressed 1 on speed dial. ring, ring, ring, ring, finally on the 4th ring he answered. "Hey Cait, something wrong?" "Where are you now?" "I am outside, Iris's work, why?" "We need to talk about what happened 2 months ago, I know I said that I wanted to forget about it, but what do you say?" He stayed quiet for about 20 seconds thinking on what to say. "Okay meet me at S.T.A.R. Labs, in 30 minutes where I run." "Okay see you soon." I could barely get that last part out. I looked at Cisco, and he hugged me, however he could in my car. "Hey can you drive us to S.T.A.R. Labs I do not feel good at all." "Of course."

We arrived there in about 10 minutes, and I was already starting to panic. Cisco was there for me, reassuring me, and being supportive in any way he could. 20 minutes passed and Barry was actually on time for the first time in his life. I started walking into the room where he ran in. He was already there, but running, actually. "Bar?" He stopped, and looked at me. He raced down and sat next to where I was sitting. "Why now?" "I couldn't avoid it forever."
