Chapter Forty-Four: Ice Cream
When I got myself and realized that I was hanging onto his neck— with of course the support of his massive and masculine arms, I uplifted my face and looked at him. When I saw how serious he was— actually giving me an unleashed anxiety. His look was shouting a very serious and intimidating aura.
While we were walking— or should I say, while he was walking, carrying me. The eyes of the students riveted by us and slightly gaped because of it. Wave of shame engulfed my wholeness. I lolled my head and looked at his arm that tightly swirled onto my knees. I know I was heavy and I felt like I was already a burden. Maybe his muscles were paining right now.
"A-Alex, you can just put me down..." I said, as a matter of fact, I acted like I was going down but Alexander tightened more his grasp on me. "I said, put me down,"
He didn't bother to do what I wanted to do. Instead, he continued walking to elsewhere that I was actually clueless where. But when I saw the path we were taking into, I suddenly realized that we were heading to the parking area of our school.
When the wind blew for a feathering feeling, I shivered. I bit my lower lip as I noticed that Alexander was looking at me and pressed his lips into a thin line— probably stifling a smile to peek through his reddish lips.
But instead of admiring his face again— that actually my hobby— I put all my attention to the vicinity. Suddenly, the want that urging me to get down evaporated like a water in a hot temperature place. I just wanted to appreciate the place wherein I couldn't do if I was walking. Well, I did not mean that I wasn't really appreciating it if I was walking, I can... slightly, but it was different if he was carrying me like this. Vicinity plus the pounding heart— it was so momentous.
I can glimpse in the future because of what Alexander did to me right now— probably, the news of us will spread like wildfire. Well, I need to think a better alibi towards it. It happened that, they did not know that we had a conflict into our MU stage. They still expect us to be close— that unfortunately didn't happen these past few days because of our misunderstanding.
"Alexander, where are we going? We still have a class—"
"Hush. Stop talking. I'm still calming myself."
"But we have a class later at 1—"
He cut me off once again, "They announced that the class for this afternoon was suspended because of the faculty meeting,"
I didn't speak, instead, I just let him take me where he wanted to. When we both reached the parking area— where his driver was waiting for us already. And when he saw us, he immediately jumped out of the driver's seat then slid the door for us to enter. I was the one who got in the car and Alexander immediately jumped in and settled himself next to me.
When he pulled the door— creating a startling sound— the thought of us having a supposedly meeting burst within me. I titled my head to look at Alexander who was looking at me with a caring eyes. Something churned into my stomach and I almost wanted to run out of here. His deep-pacific eyes were so gentle— like he was worshiping and valuing my body so much.
"I still have a meeting," I informed, still not get over from his so angelic stare.
He reclined and took my hand that was resting uncomfortably onto my knees. "Anything that hurt you?"
"Alexander, I still have a meeting!"
"Just text Lily that you are with me. I don't want you out of my sight again. I'm afraid that someone might smack—"
"Gosh, Alexander, you're being so overacting! I wasn't hurt!"
"But Thea just shoved you off the ground—"
