Chapter 13

Bruno’s P.O.V

I woke up earlier than usual,even though I slept late last night,or should I say I slept early this morning.Anyway thanks to Barbara I had a long talk with Eric.I apologized for everything I said and did when I was drunk.I also apologized for dragging the attention totally on me,I mean Eric and Presley also lost their mom as me,shouldn’t they count as well? I promised him to be the man mom wanted me to be,and the one that Barbara remind me I should be,when I almost forgot it being lost in the pain.

Thinking it better,Barbara’s done more than just playing my girlfriend.I don’t know why or how but I always end up crossing my path with hers whenever I lose my way.And then she kinda guides me.I never thought a 19 years old girl can be the rock I hold onto when I’m falling.I don’t understand how that can be,but all I know is that her presence in the house makes me feel better,and somehow stronger.

I go downstairs cause I feel my stomach making weird noises,signaling me that I’m hungry.I see Geronimo coming my way really happy to see me.I didn’t spend much time on him lately,that made me feel guilty “morning body,you hungry?” I say as I make my way to the fridge.

After I fed Geronimo and myself I sit in my living room.I skip through channels, nothing interesting to get my attention.Until something makes me stop.I glue my eyes on TV. “Bruno Mars has never been seen happier before.Looks like he and his former fan,now girlfriend are doing great.But who’s the girl that stole our heartbreaker's heart? So far we know that she’s his FAN and that she’s called Barbara,19.Maybe in the close future we’ll get to know more about this girl.Everyone wants to know her...”

Crap,I thought.Now the media will go after her.Crap,crap,crap.I don’t want to destroy her privacy,or make her go through things that show business makes you.I don’t want to mess her life up.My thoughts were interrupted as she came downstairs.

”Morning bush head"she said smiling,referring to my hair,that well today I didn’t even comb. I laugh “bush head?? Watch your words kiddo,Geronimo is around” I say threatening her playfully,reminding her how much she’s afraid of my dog.She doesn’t respond.Something else got her attention.My piano.She sits on it.I go closer to her from behind.

”Can you play it? “ I ask being curious.She shakes her head “no”.I sit right next to her.The chair is small which means we are really really close to each other.”Try it” I say smiling.She starts hitting keyboard everywhere playfully,without hitting a single note.I burst out laughing.

”I’m a pro” she says bragging.”But you didn’t hit a single note” I frown playfully.”Do you know how much talent it takes to hit the notes ALL WRONG?” she says joking.I laugh.She’s really cute.Great sense of humor.I really like her goofy side.I can’t help but smile around her.

”Really,but let me teach you” I say.She nods.I start showing her a couple notes.She pays attention.Her concentrated face is adorable. ”Got it” she says.But then starts playing it the same way as before,playfully not hitting a single note.I laugh facepalming myself.

I put my hand on hers,showing her how to do it.I touch her fingers leading them the right way.The moment I touched her skin I get goosebumps.That makes me smile.After playing some notes with my hands on hers leading her,I let her do it herself.I see her hair falling on her face.I put them aside,releasing her neck.Then she turned her head to face me.I looked into her eyes.Damn,her green/blue eyes were mesmerizing.I just couldn’t stop looking into them.I felt something on my stomach.I looked her lips,then her eyes,then her lips again.I leaned in,and when I was real close to her lips,someone talked

“I’m here”…Jessica,crap.Barbara pushed me away and I got up.”Hi babe" she says coming in my living room.

”What are you doing here? I told you is dangerous for you to come here,since everyone thinks we broke up” I say frustrated.Then she saw Barbara on the piano
