His "girlfriend" - Bruno Mars' fanfic

Chapter 12

Barbara’s P.O.V

He fell asleep in my room that night, while comforting me. I fell asleep on his arms. It made me feel better but that wasn’t such a good idea…

“I can’t believe it” I hear Jessica saying while standing at the door. ”Listen, it’s not what is looks like, I’m sure he’ll explain” I say shaking Bruno to wake him up but even grenades can’t do it.

”No need to say more, there’s no words needed, for what eyes are seeing” she says, and I can tell she’s on a verge of crying. She walks out of the door. I try to wake Bruno up “Get up damn it. You need to talk to her” I say dragging him out of bed.

”Later” he says in his sleepy voice. ”I said NOW” I say annoyed now. ”I’m up I’m up” he says looking for his shirt. We were FULLY clothed,  except the shirt that Bruno took off I guess during the night. I hope he’ll fix this misunderstanding.

After a while I go downstairs where I heard Bruno and Jessica discuss earlier. She left, but Bruno was there drinking.

”What happened?” I asked.I felt guilty.

”Nothing.If she can’t trust me,then fuck her. Plus I told her not to come here. No one is supposed to see her around me. Is that so hard to understand?” he says annoyed while drinking.

”Isn’t it too early to drink?” I ask him. He just looks at me annoyed and continues what he was doing.

”It’s not my business and all, but I think you’re not treating her right. I mean, you chose her to be your girlfriend so at least treat her like one” I say to him. ”You said it yourself, not your business” he replies.

”Be honest, have you ever betrayed her. I mean on tour and stuff?” I ask him. He just smirks. He doesn’t need to say more, I got it. ”I can’t believe it” I say in disguised face.

”I haven’t found a girl that deserves to be faithful to,  yet” he says looking at his bottle of alcohol. ”Why are you dating her then? Let me guess. I should have known. You’re just like the other men. You find the less independent girl, and make her your puppy, so even after you betray her she won’t leave you because she depends on you, specially financially. For you it’s enough that she’s beautiful, has a GREAT body and you can brag to your friends for the woman you have. You wouldn’t even dare to date a decent girl. You can’t handle the responsibility of having a smart, confident, independent, faithful, down to earth girl. That’s too much for you, it would make you look like you don’t deserve her, while with Jessica you play the king even though you’re not worth even as a waiter. With her on your arms, you make yourself look pure next to her, while if it was a better girl it will make you wanna vomit from yourself” I say annoyed to him.I pause a bit and take a breath.

”Most of girls want a boyfriend to provide for them, to protect them, to work for them…the hell is your problem? You’re like the only girl that wants to do everything on your own. The Damn PRIDE” he says to me.

”It’s not pride, it’s called SELF-RESPECT” I say raising my voice a bit. He just stares at me without saying anything. He was taken aback but also somehow agreed with me.

“Listen, she deserves it or not, you knew it from the beginning. From the moment you made her your girlfriend, so now treat her like one” I say defending Jessica.

I think none of them actually deserves to be defended. Bruno chose me to play his fake girlfriend not only to hide Jessica but also to hide the fact that he’s just like her. They’re made for each other. He’s a rich idiot that is looking for a pretty face and empty brain, and she’s a pretty face that is looking for a debit card. I went back to my room because I can’t stand him when he drinks or gets drunk. I hate it. I know he’s not drinking only because he fought with Jessica. I Bet he doesn’t give a damn about it. I guess since his mom passed away, he’s not the same anymore. I hate it.  I went to my room so at least I don’t have to see him killing his sorrows in alcohol, in MY FACE.
