*Hakuchō Palace. 2 days away from tournament*

Everyone enjoyed the fresh air of the summer breeze out in the courtyard. Walking up the trail leading to the palace was a man in the distance. Maxi was on full alert and was staring at the man. No one knew who he was until he got close.
"Tskune. Long time no see." said the man.
King Tskune stood from his chair along with Jin'ichi, who stood at his side.
"It's been rumored that you'd make a return here. It's been a while. Kang." Tskune said.
Who is Kang?...This guy looks for real. Is this the guy that was rumored to return that old man Jin'ichi told me about?
"Want me to take him out?" Jin'ichi asked King Tskune.
"Let him state his business." King Tskune said holding his arm out on front of Jin'ichi.
"I come in peace, Tskune" said Kang. "As the king of China, I am here to inform you that I have entered in the best warrior in the entire world. Along with a hidden special guest."
Instantly, King Tskune became irritated.
"The best in the world? That's a stretch, Kang. This person from your family?" King Tskune asked.
"He's my son. Ryo Lan Di." Kang responded with a devilish smirk.
Ryo Lan Di... I'll remember that in case I have to pummel the guy.
Kang stands at about 6 feet and has a slender build. His hair is slicked back and pink and has his black goatee shaped in four spaced lines. He wore circular glasses and had a scar going over his right eyelid and stretching down to his cheek almost. He wore a black and gold cape with Chinese letters on the back. He wore a silk dress shirt with a burgundy collar that he wore half open and half buttoned. He wore gray dress slacks and burgundy dress shoes.
"My son is no slacker. He trains vigorously daily. I hope whoever you have personally entered into this tournament is prepared for the possibility of fighting my boy." Kang laughed.
"First off, I have my daughter and niece in this tournament. Make no mistake, they're far from weak." King Tskune said.
Teikuya and Taka stepped forward with seriousness on their faces.
"Aw, how cute. The princess has joined the fray this time. It would be a pity if she dies." said Kang.
"I'll wipe that grin right off your face!" Jin'ichi said as he shape shifted his hand into a katana sword.
"Hold, Jin'ichi. He is just trying to ruffle my feathers. It won't work." King Tskune said.
Jin'ichi growled at Kang who still kept the snark look on his face. Kang walked away laughing and wishing them all "good luck", but after he left everyone felt irritated.
"That guy is the King of China? Why the hell does he seem so evil?" Luisa asked.
"Kang is not to be trusted." Jin'ichi said. "Japan was allied with China years ago. That was until that bastard decided to deliberately screw us over by siding with Vietnam."
"Vietnam and Japan were at war some years ago. Vietnam wanted to take total control over Japan. This was Kuan's doings. Kuan Bao Woh is Vietnam's King." said Rei.
"Kang agreed to aid us in war. But under the table, took an offer of money from Kuan to screw us over. Once Vietnam infiltrated Japan, so did China. A lot of the Japanese army had died. But we stood tall, and pushed those rotten lesser people out of here. But since then, it's been tension." Teikuya said.
"We can't even go to China without stirring up a commotion." Rei said.
"Now that the tournament is back in effect this year, there can be no allies. That's been the rule under the accords my father created years ago. I'm surprised Kang didn't just stay out of it..." King Tskune said.
I wonder who the secret guest is that Kang mentioned...
Alisa walked up and held Jared's hand.
"I've missed you. A lot." she said softly.
"I've missed you more."
Tristin made a vomiting noise to mock them. He then grabbed Teikuya's hand and told her that he missed her as well. But Luisa smacked him before Teikuya could even tell him to unhand her.
"I'm so proud of you and how strong you've gotten. Your energy is more powerful, I can feel it." said Alisa.
This girl. She gives me butterflies.
"I know you're strong already. After you put out my tornado, I knew you were strong." Jared said.
Alisa smiled coyly, moving her back from her eyes.
"The tournament begins in two days. You all must be prepared. Something tells me that this year will be hectic." said King Tskune.
