Jack - Words I didn't say

Jack and I have been friends since we were at elementary school. Since our house just across the street, we become closer. We often play and hang out together. He's always nice to me.

I admit, I start to have a feeling on Jack when I'm in high school. At first, I didn't realize it. But when Jack is near me, I feel some types of feeling. There's a strange feeling inside my stomach. I feel nervous when I look at him. I never felt like this before.

8 months before he graduated, he make a band with his friends. The band called Why Don't We. They are all talented boys with an amazing voice. I'm happy for them, especially Jack. I know he likes to sing and finally he can distribute his hobby. But the sad things, we become more distant. He always with his band but still, he give time for me on the weekend to hang out and catch up. And when I watch their Instagram stories, Jack is always with that girl. Asspain (eh I mean Aspen, sorry not sorry). She's their manager's daughter. I feel jealous but I know I'm just a friend for him, so I shouldn't be.

Today I go to the Why Don't We house. I knock the door and Daniel open it for me.

"Hey, y/n" he smile to me.

"Hey, Daniel" I smile back.

Daniel let me in. When I walk in, I see Jack is cuddling with Aspen. But when he see me, he quickly get up and walk to me.

"Hey, y/n. I asked Aspen to be my girlfriend and she said yes" he lowered his voice at Aspen's part.

He looks really happy. Even my heart broke when hear it, I manage to smile and congrats him.

"Omg, Jack! That's muh boiiii" I cheered.

"I'm so lucky right" A huge smile decorate his face.

"Go. Your girl is waiting for you" I said when I see Aspen stare at me rudely. But when Jack look back at her, she give him a big smile.

"She's so fake right" Daniel said when I walk outside, where the boys at.

I just laugh. I have no right to judge or insult her or even hate her. I love Jack but if she makes him happy, then I'm happy too. For now, I just need to move on.

"I don't know why Jack loves her" Zach suddenly speak.

"Yeah. You're way better than her. Far better" Jonah also said.

"What? We're just friends, Jo. He doesn't like me in that way" I try to keep a smile on my face.

"But how could he be so blind? Does he see that Aspen is so fake?" Jonah said again.

"Fake. her smile is fake, her body is fake, her face is fake. Everything about her is fake. Lol" Corbyn chuckled.

"She date Jack because she want the fame. She doesn't love him" Daniel said in deep voice.

"Guys stop it ok. If Jack is happy with her, then let it be" I laugh seeing their serious expression.

It's been one year and an half since they're dating. I have moved on and dated a really sweet guy.

"y/n, I know you're broken. I know you've been hurt by the fact that Jack dates Aspen. But you don't have to fake your feelings when you're with me" he said.

"I'm ok" I give him a smile.

"Well if you say so. But please know that I love you. I know I can treat you better than Jack. I know you still love him. Take your time. I'll be waiting for you. Remember that I can help you to heal, I can fix you if you want to. I love you" then he hug me tightly.
