Daniel - He's not the one

Me and Jonah has been dating for 2 years now. But lately, we become more distant. Well actually he's the one who avoid me or that's what I feel.

I got some feelings that Jonah has been hiding something from me. He hardly send me messages more over talk to me like we used to do.

Since I date Jonah, the Why Don't We boys become my friends. We are quite close but my bestfriend is Daniel. He's the one who know my problem and he always help me.

Tomorrow is Jonah's birthday so we (which means Jack, Daniel, Corbyn, Zach, and I) planned to surprise him and throw a small party. I also want to make him closer.

*group chat*

Hey do you guys have prepare for Jonah's birthday?

Jack😈: yep. I can say so
Corn🌽: I'm the one who decorated the room ;)

Zach🔥: what? You can't say that corbyn! I'm the one who did the most of it. You just eating chips on the corner.

Chill zach😂😂 you two did a great job. Where's daniel btw?

Jack😈: he's beside me

Danny💙: what? I'm here. Someone miss me already? Btw that OJ is nice tho

Danny💙: the food is ok. I've ordered it

Zach🔥: don't mention it. Jonah is also our friends.

*the party*
Every one is ready. Corbyn, Jack, Daniel, and I wait on the living room while Zach getting Jonah. Every one is quite. We hear 2 pairs of footsteps then the lights on.

"HAPPY B'DAY JONAH!!!" We all scream.
Jack and Daniel take the confetti and blow it directly to Jonah who's grinning.

I come to him and hug him tightly.
"Happy birthday babe"
"Thanks" he said but he didn't reply my hug. I don't expect that. My heart broke a little but it's a party right now so who cares.

I take a drink maybe too much. I feel a bit tipsy but Daniel got my back. I don't know where's Jonah. I want to give my present to him, a matching necklace and key chain. Key chain for him and necklace for me.

"Where's Jonah?" I shout to Daniel try to conquer the loud music.
"I think he's upstairs" he also shouting.
"Ok. I'll be back"
"No... Don't go upstairs" Daniel hold my hand.
"What? Why?" I don't listen to him.

I go upstairs looking for Jonah. Daniel try to chase me but there's so many people so it's pretty hard to running. I'm checking every room. But still I can't found Jonah. There's still one room on the corner that I haven't checked.

When I open it, I see Jonah. Half naked. On the top of a blonde girl, his ex. I can't believe my eyes. My vision start blur because my tears. I walked back suddenly I bump into someone, Daniel.

"It's ok. Don't cry. C'mon" he hug me and take me to an empty room, avoiding the crowd.
I start to cry on his chest. He just stroke my hair softly and rub my head.

"Ssh don't cry. It's ok. I should have told you that he's a jerk" Daniel try to calm me down.
"I.. I just can't believe it. I thought he love me" I said in shaking voice.

Daniel just looked at me, wipe my tears. Then he look at my lips. Our lips locked each other. I never felt a happiness like this before. It's  just... it's feels different but in a good way. Our lips fit in like it's mold to be together. Fireworks explode inside my stomach. All the pain fade away. Now I know he's the one for me. Not Jonah, not anybody else.

We broke the kiss just to catch our breath. Then Daniel smiled to me.

"I have always love you since we met for the first time. But I see you're very happy when you're with Jonah. I thank that we can be bestfriend since that. I want to tell you my feeling but I'm afraid it will break our friendship and I don't want to lose you. So I stay back. But now I can tell you my feeling, the truth. Y/n, will you be my girlfriend?"
