I walked into homeroom slightly late and chose a desk at the back so I could hopefully catch up on my disturbed sleep. Wait. I haven’t told you about that, guess what the best part of my morning was? Note. The. Sarcasm. It was when my douche of a brother decided jumping on a sleeping me was a good idea.

I managed to catch a fair bit of sleep in period one and two and then I headed out for break, racing to my groups spot so that we could claim it for the year. My group sits under a tree that has enough shade to fit us and doesn’t drop random nuts and things onto our heads. We sit on a table under it that can easily fit us all and probably a few more people but we don’t share it. Ever.

Now, before I continue you need to understand we have been sitting at this table for six years, good? Now allow me to continue. When I arrived at my table there were two stupid juniors sitting there, first I gave them my evilest glare hoping they would move but they didn’t even see me. So I went for the fake nice person character and walked right up to them and in a sickly-sweet voice said. “Excuse me, I was wondering if maybe you could find somewhere else to sit, my group has always sat there.”

They looked at me like I was crazy and one of the two said, “Sorry, first in best dressed” I smirked and raised my eyebrow at them then instantly changed persona. “Move.” I said it simply and only in a slightly threatening voice and they ran for it, dropping a pack of chips as they left.

I grabbed the chips opening them and then sat down, plopping a few in my mouth with a satisfied smile. Now I didn’t have to buy anything seeing as I already ate my apple. “Hey, gorgeous, care to share.” I spun around and leapt straight into the arms of my other best friend, Lucas. He laughed and spun me around dramatically before placing me down.

I giggled and sighed happily, pulling him onto the bench so that I wouldn’t be alone. “Hey, Luke I have missed you so much how was Vietnam?” He smiled and started blabbering about everything he did.

Now, you have met my group; let me tell you more about them. Hayley or Hales has been my best friend since pre-school, we are inseparable and I could not bear to be without her.  Hayley is 17 like me but she is a few months younger, unlike me, she is human. She knows everything about the werewolf world though and I think of her as a part of my pack. She has dark brown hair that is always out, she is always wearing at least one piece of denim and she cannot go a day without having some sort of social communication. She is the gossip and the princess of the group.

Lucas or Luke is the reserved one of the group, he dated Hayley at the beginning of high school and they broke up about a month later, he has stuck with us ever since. Luke is reserved but our version of reserved is completely different to most peoples. Luke is a werewolf like me so he is basically crazy. It is just nothing compared to Hayley and myself. Luke loves literature and wants to be a journalist or author. Over the holidays he went to Vietnam to add some spice to his blog, he adored it and will probably never stop talking about it.

Together our group is perfect; we have the princess, the dork and me. It actually is liked a balance scale, we aren’t like the popular people, constantly competing for a taste of fame. Or the burnouts, trying to appear most chilled out. We are just us, we all love each other and if anyone hurts one of us, they have the other two to answer too. I’m sorry, that was confusing.

Anyway, by the end of break (which is only twenty minutes) I had managed to listen to Luke the whole time without getting completely bored. As for Hayley, she was still trying to find the two boys; she only came to the table after she gave up.

This was going to be a long day.

Soon the story will start guys, you just need to know her background and get to know her friends.
