There's Always Tomorrow

Chapter 4

Lunch finally arrived after a long science lesson where my stupid twin managed to light the bottom of my hair on fire by accident. Nath should be banned from the science classrooms; he is endangering the whole human race, no scrap that, every living thing on earth by being close to any chemicals. 

I closed the door to my locker and screamed when someone was standing right wear my door was a second ago. “Jesus Hales! What the hell!” My voice was a little broken from the fright. She giggled and simply shrugged before dragging me to the cafeteria 

“What are you in such a hurry for?” I huffed trying to keep up 

“You promised me we could look for them now, Luke is waiting in the cafeteria.” She said without her voice sounding even the slightest bit strained. I rolled my eyes but followed her.

“Finally, I’ve been here forev-!” Luke started but finished when Hayley grabbed him with her spare arm and dragged him along without even pausing. I gave look a shrug.

“She’s a woman on a mission.” I whispered. He ran his spare hand through his hair; his body shaking from laughter, before I could ask him what was so funny I was being shoved behind a trashcan.

“What are you doing Hayley goddamn James” I whispered in a very quiet angry voice. “Shhh-hhh-hhh” She shushed me like a baby. Hayley should no better then that… she knows how much I hate affection. 

I stood up, brushed dirt off the back of my jeans and walked away huffing in the snobbiest way I could muster. My anger was radiating off of me. I know, it’s weird I hate affection but I do.

I hate it when people try to treat me like I am somebody tame, not like the crazy, messed up person I am. Every time someone is affectionate towards me, I am reminded of how messed up I am.

I had my nose so far in the air that I couldn’t see where I saw going, so high that I couldn’t see the brick wall in front of me.

“Youch.” I muttered angrily to myself “stupid wall who the heck put you there, the dipshit that built this stupid school.” I vented to the wall.

“What the hell are you talking about?” The brick wall asked, he sounded kind of mocking. “I am sorry, I didn’t mean to offend you Mr. Wall but I just don’t know why you always have to be so bloody hard.” I said, checking myself for an injury.

The wall burst into laughter and I snapped my head up. “How the hell are you laugh-” The brick wall was most certainly not a wall. It was a real person. “Who the fuck are you?” I said, while standing up, swaying slightly.

“I am Noah, Noah Hale… and you are?” The biggest hottie of my life stood in front of me, I swear! He was rock solid, just like a wall. I laughed to myself at that. He had blonde hair swept to the side and tan skin just like my… Ewww I just called my brother’s doppelganger hot.

 “You are…” He repeated pulling me out of my daze; I smiled, hiding my disgusted expression. “Your baby’s mother, Jesus Christ you are so hot.” Hayley said from nowhere. When the hell did she get here? I coughed and glared at Hayley.

“I am Brooke, Brooke Johnson.” I said in a husky voice. Uggghhh get your act together Brooke. He nodded then raised his eyebrow at Hayley. I smiled then quickly nodded towards Hales and cleared my throat “That’s Hayley, Hayley James.” My voice returned to normal.

“I am Lucas, Lukas Main” Luke said, scaring the shit out of me. I turned around and glared at him. He hugged me from behind and froze when we heard the word I dread the least. The word that every werewolf lives to here.

“Mine!”
