P.O.V Camila
One more day and I get out of this room. I've been praying that I'll get out as soon as possible, Lauren needs me.
I stood up from my hospital bed and walked towards the chair next to the window. I sighed as I sat down, it has been raining for the past two days, not a sign of sun light could be seen. The dark grey clouds covered the sky, like the grey pain covering my heart. Lauren is all I've been able to think about, her beautiful soft lips, her dark brown hair, her laugh, her smile. I didn't realize I was crying until I tasted a salty tear that made its way down my face over my lips and past my chin.
I continued to stare at the dark clouds from the window, thinking about my beautiful fiancee. Until I heard the doctor talking to someone on the other side of my hospital room, I sigh then stood up as the door opens. The middle aged man walks into the room, his dirty blonde hair goes down to his forehead, his dull green eyes were on the folder he had in his hands. His long white coat hanging to the back of his thighs, his face blank and the bags under his eyes only increased every time I saw him.
"Good Afternoon, Ms. Cabello".
Doctor Harris says. He looks up at me nodding towards the bed, silently telling me to sit down.
"Afternoon". I say, taking a seat on the uncomfortable bed.
"Ms. Cabello, im here to give you your last checkup, tomorrow morning you'll able to leave". Doctor Harris walks up to me and checks my vitals and unwrapped the bandage on my head, looking closely at the torn skin near my hair line down to the bottom of my cheek.
"Ok your left side of your face is healing but slowly, you'll need to keep it wrapped for another week airing it out every now and then, I'll prescribe an ointment that'll keep it from getting infected, you'll need to put it on twice a day for two weeks".
I sigh and nodding my head. I wasn't in the mood to talk, the more I think the faster the time goes by. Doctor Harris gave me a new bandage, told me to put on after a few hours of letting it get air.
Once the middle aged man left the room, I walk back over to the chair near the window, I looked beyond the horizon where the sun was setting, Lauren would have loved to see this view. I smiled thinking about how Lauren would be if she and I were watching this together. Then I remembered our second date together on the beach, oh how I loved that day......
*****flash back*****
"Its beautiful isn't it?"
I smile and looked over to Lauren who was watching the sky turn different colors of pinks and oranges, with the white fluffy clouds spread across the sky, making a perfect view.
"Yeah it is". I say staring at Laurens side profile, her black top fitting her perfectly, just like her blue cut short shorts. Her hair is blown to her right side, slightly letting me see the dragonfly tattoo on the back of her neck.
She starts laughing and looks over at me, while she's bitting her lip, trying to control the laughs.
"What?" I say chuckling along with her.
"You were staring, it's cute just like you". Laurens laughing dies down as she looks into my eyes.
"Well who wouldn't, your beautiful". I say smiling widely, as I watch the blush rise onto her cheecks.
She scoots towards me more,so close that our thighs are touching. She laid her head on my shoulder and wrapped her arms around my waist, cuddling into me. I laid my arm over her shoulders, sitting comfortly in silence.
(30 minutes later)
Lauren and I walk hand in hand to Lucy's truck, Lucy was nice enough to let Lauren burrow it for tonight. I got into the passenger side while Lauren got into the drivers.
"Music?" Lauren questions me.
"Oh yes please, I'm dying from silence". I joke with an over exagerrated slouch.
"Oh don't even start, you were the one who said ' ssshhh the moon needs sleep too'". She laughs and slaps my arm slightly.
"I was just stating a fact". I say pouting out my bottom lip.
"Hey! No pouting". Lauren says turning her body towards me, I pout even more.
"Fine I'll make it go away". Lauren says, she grabs my face and leans in and takes my bottom lip in between hers. I sigh into the kiss as I feel Lauren smile. The kiss was short and sweet, but so meaningful.
Once Lauren and I separate from the kiss, Lauren had a shy smile and a blush, while I on the other hand, had a wide smile and I couldn't be more happier than right now.
*****flash back over*****
That was our first kiss, I smile thinking about the drive home, how we were smiling like idiots while the radio was playing 'A Thousand Years' by christina Perri. We were so young then and in love and people always said that nothing could break our love.
I walk over to the hospital bed from the window where the sky is shinning with stars. I lay down, closing my eyes, thinking about mine and Laurens past.

I hope y'all will understand and forgive me, and pray for my family. My Papa is sick and probably isn't going to make it very long. Please pray for him.
