Chapter 2- Crashed

   "There are some pop tarts in the glove box if you want some," Elliot says

"Do you know how much sugar is in those things," Bradley says laughing

"Yep and that's what makes them so damn delicious," he says

"Hand me one please," I say

Caleb does as asked.

"So. Your hand get stuck a machine too," Caleb asks

"Nope. It just got stuck in...my bosses face," Eliot says smirking

Bradley stiffens. Before letting out a forced laugh.

"Yeah. He thought he could get away with firing everyone and replacing us with those damn robots," Eliot says

"Right. Because they are destroying the forest faster than ever," Bradley mumbles

"Well. That's kind of the point," I say

"So y'all aren't worried about killing the environment," Bradley ask

"Killing the environment? What. You gonna stop using toilet paper," Elliot asks and I nod

"Are you guys gonna stop breathing," Brad asks really making me think

"Point is. You gotta stand up for yourself. Its how the world works," Eliot says.

All of a sudden Bradley's phone starts ringing.

"Hello...nope, just learning how the world works...yeah. Uhh huh. Okay. Love you too. Bye," he says and hangs up

We pull up into a gas station and get out of the car. Caleb and Brad make a small scene before entering the store.

"Grab some snacks and drinks and ill go full the car. These are for me," Elliot says to the cashier while shoving a six pack of beer in Bradleys hands, "here."

  "No. It's okay. Yes gave us a card for emergencies so," Brad says

  "Well this isn't an emergency. take it," Elliot says with an edge to his tone

"Okay," Bradley mumbles

    We walk outside and get back into the car. We buckle in and start driving off.  Brad gives the card back.

Elliot says , "how much was it?"

"$60," I say

  "60? Wow. What did y'all get," Elliot asks

"Snacks and stuff," Bradley says

  "Shit," Bradley mumbles, "where is my phone?!" He pats the seats and his pockets looking for it.

  "Your precious phone is safe," Elliot says smiling

  "You can't just take my phone,"

  "Your spending time with me this weekend. I don't want you phone to get all the attention. You'll get it back when we get home okay,"

Brad and clan fall asleep and I grab my book to read. Half way through the book Elliot says, "here we go" and turns causing Brad and Caleb to wake up.

We pull up and there is a gate.

"Well. Looks like we are going home," I say shrugging

"What are you doing," Brad asks as Eliot revs the engine
