Justin’s POV
We were now on our way towards Louisiana. Selena was in the passenger seat asleep. We didn’t get much sleep last night and the officer woke us up really early. Luckily he didn’t make it a big deal and he never saw who we were.
Since we woke up in such a rush, we never really got that chance to even think back at what happened last night. But now that Selena was asleep and I was driving, that was all I could think about. The taste of her lips. The smell of her hair. The feel of her bare skin against mine. She was my first and right now, I can’t think of anybody else I would want to be that intimate with.
Selena began to stir awake, she looked up at me and rubbed her eyes, “good morning,” she said while yawning.
“Umm, more like afternoon,” I laughed pointing at the clock.
“Oh my god! Its already 1 o’clock! Are we in Louisiana yet!” she said freaking out.
“No, we are about an hour away, and don’t worry, I would have woken you up,” I said winking at her.
“Okay, well we are going to be in Louisiana for two days, so you aren’t getting your surprise til tomorrow-”
I cut her off, “I know, you told me this morning.”
“I did?”
“Yeah, you were like half asleep in the car,” I said laughing, ” but don’t worry, because I have a surprise for you today!”
“Justin! You can’t give me surprises, this is your birthday week of surprises!” she complained.
“Well it seemed like you enjoyed the surprise last night!” I told her.
She covered her face, but I knew she was doing that so I wouldn’t see her blush.
“You are such a dork!” she mumbled into her hands.
“Yeah yeah, you are going to love the surprise!”
“Okay, but you really didn’t have to do anything…when did you even plan this?”
“While you were sleeping,” I said, smiling at her. Her hand was on the arm rest, and I intertwined our fingers and just let her hand rest on top of mine.
Selena’s POV
“Smile…” I wrapped my arms around Justin as we smiled for the camera, posing in front of the Welcome To Louisiana sign. There weren’t many people driving on the freeway, so we took a few pictures kissing each other. After the rest of the world finally caught on that we were taking a cross-country road trip together, the rumors started flying. Justin and I made no effort to answer any of these questions on twitter and we ignored all calls from our publicist. We had promised that we weren’t going to bring work into this vacation, but we called Scooter to let him know we were okay and he could take care of everything else.

Justin’s POV
We arrived at our hotel around 4:00 PM and we were both so tired. My surprise for Selena wasn’t until 8:00, so we took showers (separately) then took a nap. When I woke up, Selena’s head was resting on my chest. I just looked down at her and smiled. She was still asleep and she looked so peaceful. I woke her up because we had to leave in about an hour.
“Justin, what should I wear?” she asked, unzipping her suitcase.
“Seriously, you can wear whatever. It is just gonna be us,” I told her.
