Eliza unlocked the door and let it close behind her. Little did she know that Maria's tone should have been a warning sign. Before she could react, Maria had pinned Eliza to the wall and wrapped her hands around her neck so tight that Eliza began to turn blue. "Stay away from me, you hear?" Maria spat in her face. Eliza managed a gargle in response as she attempted to draw shaky breath to no avail. "You won't be as lucky as the last Nurse. She's locked up next door, but the one before her was thrown down the body chute after I was done with her" she let Eliza go and watched with a murderous grin as Eliza crumpled to the ground and began to gasp for air. "Don't come here again or you won't sur-" Maria suddenly stopped and looked at her hands and then Eliza on the floor "oh my god I'm so sorry! What did she do? We had a nightmare and it always makes her- are you okay?" Maria's panicked voice filled the room. Eliza managed to nod slightly as she stood up and brushed the dirt from her dress "I'm happy you're okay Maria, I'll see you in the morning" Eliza breathed. She was sure this wasn't protocol, but between the dizziness and her need to gasp for air, she wasn't sure what was protocol at all. She locked the door behind her and went back to her quarters, shaking violently.
