Nouns:

달걀 = eggs

자리 = seat/place to put something*

중요성 = importance/emphasis

벌금 = a fine (ticket)

파일 = file

로션 = lotion

학설 = theory

풍습  = customs (cultural customs)

치마 = skirt

순서 = turn (turn to go)/order

단계 = step/phase/stage

Verbs:

차지하다 = to occupy a space

수거하다 = collect

첨부하다 = attach

찢다 = to tear/rip something

다녀오다 = go and then come back

예상하다 = expect

Adjectives:

올바르다 (올바른) = correct

복잡하다 = complicated

짧다 = short/brief

Adverbs and Other Words:

얼마나 = how much

몇 = how many ___ (with a counter)

뭐 = what (adverb)

무슨 = what (adjective)

무엇 = what (noun)

어떤 = which

어떤= some*

어느 = which for places

어때? = How is/was … ?

살 = years old

대개 = usually

바깥 = outside

쯤= approximately*

짓 = some sort of negative action

서로= reciprocally*

필독 = must read (noun)

제일 = the first/the most (가장)

며칠 = how many (days?)

퍼센트 = percent

How (어떻게)

어떻게 is the easiest of the words that you will learn today. The word 어떻게 is actually 어떻다 (a word you don’t know yet) turned into an adverb by adding ~게 to the stem (어떻 + 게). Though 어떻다 and 어떻게 are technically the same word, don’t think of them that way. Just remember that 어떻게 means “how.” You can use 어떻게 to ask how somebody does a verb, but it can not be placed before an adjective or adverb in Korean to mean “how (adjective/adverb).” For example:
