Disclaimer:I don't own Bethesda Studios,therefore I don't own Skyrim...I do WISH I owned Cicero though...who doesn't love that little mad jester? :D

We arrived in Ivarstead after the night fell.Me and Cicero agreed to wake up at dawn do we can arrive in Riften during the afternoon at least. The journey was a long one, though with Cicero it's hard to not find the journey interesting without him.As we were a mile

radius from Riften,I heard a distinct roar in the background. You've got to be kidding me! Why does this always happen?! Each time I arrive at a stronghold,a dragon always flys up to me and tries to kill me like there's no tomorrow! What's up with that?

I let out an aggravated sigh as I glared in the area around us,trying to locate the dragon.

"Seems that the Listener is quite mad~.May I lend an ear to know why? You have a Falmer's ear handy?"

"I'm just tired of all these dragons." I huffed, already used to the strange things he says.

"The Listener shouldn't fret, for the dragons always meets death~" He rhymed cheerfully. How can he make all these little songs and rhymes from the top of his head? I always wondered that, but back to more important matters.

"I may always slay them in the end, but that does not mean I do not get annoyed by how many times we've encountered them when we are doing something more important."

I mean like in all of Sithis and Divines, how is this possible?! Do I have that strong of an aura from being a Dragonborn that they think they can try to defeat the one who defeated Alduin? Honestly...I thought we made peace.

"Come Cicero, the dragon will lose track of us when we enter the city." That would always work when we get attacked by dragons or any other dangers from the outside.Too bad that cannot work vice versa...

"Genius~GENIUS~! The Listener is a genius~! The Listener shows beauty and brains~!Yes,yes, the Listener shall lead and I shall follow~"

A slight heat spread through my face.Idiot,he always does this.He can't say that all nonchalant. Oh,who am I kidding? He does this all the time, and every time he says this I must remember he only jests,he's a jester after all...

I regained my composure and focused on his last statement.I let out a small smile when I finally noticed that sentence as we were getting closer to Riften. You shall follow, huh? Hmph,I wouldn't be surprised if he even followed me to the Void...I actually wouldn't be surprised he would love to be with Sithis. That's what I understood when he talked about it when I received the quest from...'her'.My eyes lowered at the thought, she may have betrayed me but she was still a comrade. It was because of her that I'm in this little family. I wonder...what would've happened if I didn't enter the orphans house? Would I have continued my main objective to defeat Alduin? Or would I just continued to wander around, trying to escape my 'destiny'? Well,it doesn't matter now.I'm a part of this family now and I wouldn't exchange it for anything. I glanced back up and noticed we were already in front of the wooden gates of Riften.

Better get a move on then;we entered. And of course as soon as we entered,Cicero did one of his little off-beat comments of the stronghold.

"Riften.Cicero likes Riften~Cheats and ruffians and cutthroats abound~ Finally,some fun~"

"Do you always have to say that each time we come in here?" I questioned him as we were heading towards Mistveil Keep, passing by the Temple of Mara. Each time we go into a populous stronghold,he always has to make this kind of comments. It's not like I don't find it funny when he says that,it's just that I'm curious on that comment he always makes.I find it quite funny actually, since those cheats and ruffians are the ones who owe or got the attention of the Thieves Guild.I remember one time,in Whiterun, I remember we were heading over to the famous blacksmith of Skyforge steel,Eorlund Graymane so I can sell a few stuff I really needed to get rid of.Im sort of a...how to put it...hoarder.Especially of weapons and armor, also of gems, really anything that's of value. So when we were going through Whiterun Marketplace, all of a sudden:

"Ohhhh...Cicero wants some Skyforge Steel~! Sharp~sharp~ for easy stabbing~!"

All of the heads in the marketplace turned towards us,with faces of either shock and fear or just of surprise and threatening,I don't quite remember. But I do remember I just wanted to quietly walk away, which we did. The only response I gave to Cicero was a slight glare which quickly softened when I saw the oblivious and innocent look on his face.Funny, how an exceptionally master of killing people can still have such a look on their face.

"Do you not like it Listener? If you do not, just order me to stop saying that little saying." He answered with that smile of his, more like wicked at times. Me?Ordering him to stop saying that? Sounds nice, but then I'll just start missing him saying it again. He's said it so many times,I actually look forward when he says that...sometimes even say it with him in my mind. I'm not going to tell him that though,he'll probably start dancing around in joy if I say his little dark humorous songs or statements with him.

"No,it's quite fine Cicero.Besides, I quite like the saying myself." I replied to him with a smile as I looked at him to see his reaction as we were walking. As I expected, his eyes sparkled with happiness and started dancing around as his cheeks had a rosy pink hue on them.

"Oh yes~ oh yes~! The Listener likes Foolish Cicero 's jests! What joy the Listener brings on Poor Cicero!" I continued to smile and let out a laugh at his antics. Which seemed to give him extra energy to dance around. He's such a good friend...

*Bathump*

Ouch...well I have Farkas now so my heart should stop making those kind of beats...

Right?

We walked through the stone arched entrance to go through Mistveil Keep, and headed towards the engraved stone doors.

---Timeskip---

Me and Cicero just finished talking to the Jarl of Riften about the bounty of the dragon in Lost Tongue and right now we are heading towards the gates of Riften to leave.Honestly,I should have seen this coming but I received another quest from her. As well as from her forgettable Court Wizard, Wylandreah. Ugh...What.A.Surprise. I don't even want to have an adventure right now, let's just fast travel back to Whiterun to put some of this stuff down.(fast traveling is a power which can only be used by the Dragonborn but they can still transport the people and animals with them as well.)

"Listener?" Cicero asked worriedly behind me as we walked.

"Hm?" I made a noise of acknowledgement as I continued to think about the other quests I still have left uncompleted.

"You know Listener, you could have denied the Jarl's request for another time." Oh come on Cicero, how can I do that? No matter what I do,I will always accept quests left and right for some odd reason...I think I'm too nice, yeah, that's it.Or it's just maybe my subconscious who is making these moral decisions for me...that's just weird.

"It's alright Cicero now come on,we need to go back to Whiterun." I said as the guards opened the gates for me and Cicero.

"Of course,Listener." He replied dutifully,as we exited Riften.
