"Baylee, wait up!" Emma calls after me as I leave English.

i turn around, my hair falling over my shoulders. i see Jay behind her and roll my eyes at him but smile at Emma.

"hey." i say once she reaches me.

"hey Emma. thanks by the way. for like
not staring at whispering and actually having a conversation with me." i say with a nervous laugh

"oh no problem! i'm usually an ambassador anyways so it's natural for me to be nice." she says walking with me.

"what's your next class?" i ask her.

"Math, you?" she asks.

"I think I have math too." i say.

"Awesome!" she says way to excitedly. "Way to turn down Jay back there." she adds

"Oh that? nothing much. I've had to do it a lot back in Boston." i say to her as we push through kids to get to our next class.

"Baylee!" I hear and I turn around and see Bri and I sigh in relief.

She makes her way over to Emma and I and she's breathless. "So like a bunch of people want to be friends with me now mainly because they know dad is coaching the Indians and is a previous red sox pitcher but whatever. And some guy came up to me calling your name. Pretty sure he thought I was you." she spits out.

"What did he look like?" i ask.

she shrugs. "I dunno. tall brown hair. really hot."

"Jay." Emma says.

"Yeah." i agree.

"No like,Baylee, Jay is right there." she says nodding behind us.

Both Bridget and I turn around and see Jay right behind us. He does a double take to make sure we're twins or he's seeing double.

"Are you...?" he asks trailing off and not finishing his sentence.

"Twins?" Bri and I ask and nod after.

"Oh..."

"Baylee has blue eyes and I have green. I'm Bridget by the way." Bro says sticking her hand out and putting on an award winning smile.

He gladly takes it. "Twins huh?"

"Yep." I say feeling awkward.

"Well, your sister turned me down." he says crossing his broad arms over his chest.

"I have reasons." i say.

"That's what she always says, but trust me she's had her fun." Bridget says nudging me and Jay raises an eyebrow at me.

"Thanks Bri." I say to her through gritted teeth.

She smiles and winks at me.

"So how about we hang out tonight doll face? What's the worst that could happen?" he probes.

"Just go or I will!" Bridget urges.

I whip towards her annoyed. "Then go."
