"I don't see the problem with it." Bridget's says throwing a dress aside and continuing to search through my closet.
"You're kidding me right? It looks like I'm a prostitute!" I exclaim holding up the small piece of fabric.
"Yeah yeah, whatever." She pushes aside a pair of jeans and squeals at a short leather jacket I have. "I have the most perfect outfit for this." She says and goes to my drawers pulling out my black jeans with a slit in the knee. She pulls a black and white skin tight crop top off a hanger in the closet and throws the clothes at me. She pick up black heeled booties from the floor in my closet and throws those at me too.
"Bri-"
"Nope, go change." She orders shooing me away.
I sigh and haul myself to the bathroom. I throw on all the clothes and the outfit doesn't look bad. I slip on the shoes and walk out. Bridget looks up from her phone and smiles at me. "Perfect."
"It's not bad." I say showing no expression.
"Shut up you love it. Where is he taking you anyways?" She asks as she runs her hands over my dads guitar that he gave me. I hate so badly when people touch it. It kills me.
"Uh no clue actually. It's a mystery." I say trying to sound excited even though I hate surprises with a burning passion.
"You hate surprises." She says crossing her arms and popping her hip.
"Shut up." I mumble rolling the mascara wand over my eyelashes.
She laughs. "I'm going to Kayla's. Have fun on your date." She says emphasizing the date part.
"Its not a date Bridget!" I yell before putting lip gloss on.
"Not a date huh?" I hear Jay say and my lip gloss flies out of my hand.
My hand goes to my chest as I breathe heavily. "Jay! What the hell!?"
He laughs as he walks into my room. "Well hey doll."
"Shut up. What are you doing here?" I ask searching my floor for lips gloss tube.
"Thought I'd stop by early." He says looking around my room.
"You can't come downstairs with me. Use a door for once." I mutter picking the tube up.
"Your no fun." He pouts.
I pat his cheek like mom does to Seth when she fakes sympathy. "Poor thing. Now go."
He smirks before leaping back to his house. Lunatic.
I roll my eyes before grabbing a purse and my phone and going downstairs. I get into the kitchen and Mom i busy making dinner and I hear dad ranting on and on about how his batting average might get passed up. Not important to me.
"He's a rookie Hay!" Dad exclaims and Mom just shakes her head and laughs.
"I think you'll live Jason." She says with an eye roll.
"No I won't! I worked hard for that title and some rookie is just going to come in and take that all away from me. Its just insane." Dad says before taking a swig of his beer.
"Dad calm down." I say coming in.
He glances over at me. "That right there is the only person in our house who cares about my retired career."
I roll my eyes. "He's not going to pass your average dad. The season will be over soon anyways so there's really no need to worry." I say assuring him.
"There's everything to worry about." Dad mumbles and mom and I smile.
The door bell rings. "I'll get it!" I announce.
