He left, came back, now what?

The new kid

I walk into the principals office and see boy there he looks at least a year older then me. Well everyone looks older then me they could be five and look older then me.

"ah Ms. Pimentel come have a seat" the principal says finally noticing my existence. I sit down as he says the boy keeps staring at me. I can't tell if it's cute or just plain creepy. I take a quick glance at him and he's still staring. Yup it's creepy.

"with all do respect sir why am I here and why am I the one here" I say trying not to give him attitude.

"well Angelica this is our new student Mateo Gray and I want you to show him around" he gestures to the boy to make sure I understand. He makes it seem like I'm five.

"as I said before why do I have to do this" confusion in my voice like always.

"well I checked your schedule not to sound creepy but I was going down the list to find a student that would be a great person to show Mr. Gray around. I came upon your schedule and noticed you had almost all but one class with him and your really nice to others so I thought you were the perfect student to do it" he explains everything to me once again like I'm five.

"ok I'll do it but I'll need a pass for English class"

"first period is almost over anyway since you have your backpack you can go show Mateo around"

"ok" we get up and we walk out the door.

"can I see your schedule"

He nods giving me his schedule. I take a look at it and see he has every class with me but algebra.

"what grade are you in?" I asked him looking up since he was a little taller then me.

"I'm a sophomore and you?"

"I'm a freshman, so I'll give you a quick tour around the school and by the time that's done third period should be done by then and we can go to fourth period."

"ok" he says as I start walking away with him following me.

*at lunch*

I was leaving the cafeteria when went to go look for Mateo I told him I would show him we're to go get food since he didn't have algebra with me I had to go to find him at a different clas. I was about to give up when.

"hey" a sorta familiar voice says behind me
I turn around and see mateo

"you told me you were going to show me where and how to get lunch" he says putting a hand on his neck

"oh yea of course, but let's hurry up"

"why?" he says obviously confused

I see this happen every school year one if the "weird" people show the new kid around they say they will hang out with then but end up ditching them for the popular people and I didn't wanna be like those people so I'll just show him how so I can go eat alone since my friends aren't here today

"oh since knowing our school people will think your "cute" and want you to hang out with the popular people." I say shrugging cause I thought he knew this already

"why would I hang out with them when I have a pretty girl in front of me" he says smiling

He can't be talking about me so I turn around and see Miranda one of the girls who are pretty and know it

"who miranda?" I say slightly pointing at her

"no you" he says looking at me with a smile in his face
