finn felt the threatening urge to unbind the smile he was hiding as millie gently accepted all three of the boys' greeting, outstretched hands
something concerning the act of millie meeting his closest companions validated their relationship to him, causing the sudden emotion of security to over bare him

"gaten," he offered a small wave, making millie give him a cramped simper in reply
"noah!"
finn's eyes couldn't help wandering to millie's face, eager to see her reaction and thoughts on them, her opinion being important and vital to him
but he felt his heart flutter and worries disintegrate at the spacious smile and bright gleam displayed in her eyes that he'd come to favor so vastly.
he hid his sweaty palms in the pockets of his rough denim jeans as his glare casted on the ground, no longer able to conceal the bright smile he had been.
she likes them, this couldn't have gone any better
millie peered over at her newly acquired love interest out of her peripheral slightly concerned, attempting to discern and decipher his feelings as to why she was no longer given his pinpointed attention ;
millie always seemed to take notice in the small cracks he left in his facade, it usually concealing his true emotions, masking private despair
but alternatively, to her unknown relief, a shy smile was the only thing occurring, and it was nothing out of the ordinary
"are you guys," noah trailed off, interrupting millie's train of thought, pointing his two fingers at the pair inquisitively.
"together." gaten concluded with an effortless eye roll, caleb shrugging, quite curious to find out himself as well.
a rusty carmine fade swept over millie's pale cheeks, caught off guard. "well, no, not quite."
gaten snickered in skepticism, doubting her reply. "not quite?"
"nothing's official gaten." finn elaborated, sounding quite frustrated for he was simply flustered. "we only met a week ago."
finn couldn't help attempting to hide his sincere emotions and feelings for millie, weary of being told that everything was too soon or happening too fast ;
and to be brutally honest, if it wasn't for him knowing his genuine feelings, he would agree too, it did seem too good to be true
meeting a mere week ago and already catching feelings? absolutely unheard of, preposterous even!
but the curly headed admirer knew better than to avoid the feelings he endeavored so hard to conceal, he couldn't fabricate such deception even on his own heart
