my skin will scream reminding me of who i killed inside my dream

a majority of people would think that a typical saturday night for a teenager would consist of partying with friends or drinking their sobriety absent without a second thought ;

but that was utter cliche bullshit.

in lieu, finn found his saturday night occupied by the usual scenery he so vastly adored, deep in his notions.

finn didn't care for idiotic and immature acts, he'd prefer to just be alone with no friends than be at some pointless party.

but that was one of the countless reasons why finn was different ;

unordinary, if you will.

but he didn't mind, even if he was under appreciated, he seemed to be satisfied with who he was at the moment, so silly opinions didn't matter.

if only he, himself could believe the lie he just told.

the boy released a shaky breath as he simply stared at the dark complected shadows the trees casted.

as much as he despised ever admitting it, he thought too much of opinions, including those of whom he shouldn't.

his parents being amid the category.

he cared so much of what his parents considered him, it was quite frankly depressing and difficult to cope with.

he'd try so hard in his younger years to make his parents proud, desperate for their encouragement and satisfaction ;

but the most he received in reward were blatant disappointed glares and the usual feeling of discouragement.

he'd always figured it was something that he'd done, that maybe it was something repairable, fixable ;

that, perhaps, their love could be won by the desperate efforts of their six year old son, their admirer.

but they proved him wrong time and time again.

but nick? what a completely twisted outlook they had on him.

finn never had to ponder who the favorite was, it was continually made obvious that nick was the stellar child of their dreams.

the son they wanted.

and finn ?

a reject, a disappointment, a mistake.

and it was all laid out for finn's young emotions and feelings to deal with

sure, finn could be a bit agitating ; he was a hyper, curious young boy with boundless energy ; but he was still a child to be cherished.

he was still worth their love ;

finn hated his parents so much for making him feel less than, and although nick's life is what he admired to acquire, even at his young age, he knew better than to hold it against his 14 year old role model.
