The thunder smacked causing Beca to jump out of her half asleep nap. She rubbed her eyes and looked at the laptop beside her. Emails upon emails mainly cluttered the girls laptop. Along with tons of songs she had to help produce that she was behind on. No doubt, Beca was depressed. Course the small brunette would never admit to it, but she was.Slowly, the girl rolled out of bed and back onto her feet. 6:38 PM, the clock showed her. She sighed and knew it was too early to go to bed if she wanted to sleep through the night. Beca walked out of the room and into her kitchen, where the blonde Australian was of course at.
"Oi! Look who rise and shined!" Fat Amy yelled with a half of mouth full of food. She shut the fridge and moved over to the couch. It was a studio flat so it had a lot of open space. Amy had been staying with Beca due to a recent breakup.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" Beca asked and followed her friend to the couch. She sat next to her and stole some of her popcorn.
"Because! You needed to sleep. You've been up all night working so much" Fat Amy said as she channel surfed through channels. "You know Beca...if you're not happy, you should do something about it. I know you love music, but maybe this isn't the job for you. I mean, you made your money. You're well known! You can go without a job for a bit, go explore...go see Chloe-" Amy knew she fucked up when she mentioned the last idea.
"No, no...let me just work through shit alright?" Beca said and got up quickly. She walked back into her room and sat at her desk. Thing was, last time she talked to Chloe it was awkward. Beca confessed her love for Chloe. First time she really confessed to loving anyone. Chloe felt the same, but her music career took off and she had to have a PR stunt boyfriend. Ever since then, the two had been extremely awkward around one another. Beca still loved Chloe. It killed her to see the PR stunts all over media. But, how could she even know what was real and what was fake anymore? She hadn't heard from Chloe in months! Just like it was on cue, an email popped up.
"Dear Ms Mitchell,
Hello! I am Jack Rinner, I am Chloe Beale's manager. Chloe is looking to record her second album and I've heard and seen your work. I would love if you would be able to fly out to LA next week to produce it..."The email went on and on about it. Beca was shocked. Chloe had to know right? She would've stopped it.
"We should go catch a movie there's this hot usher there and..." Amy walked in and saw the email before Beca could say anything, Amy stole the laptop. She ran out quickly, holding the laptop like it was the last slice of pizza on the earth. Amy knew she had to say yes, even if Beca didn't want to. If anything, Amy was saving her ass on bets she had made with the other girls.
"Amy!" Beca yelled and got up. She chased the girl to the bathroom, but the door was locked. "Don't answer it! Please!" Beca yelled as she banged on the door. Beca's heart was racing, her stomach turning. Part of her wanting Amy to say yes, the other parts no. What if all the PR stunts were fake? Then it will be more awkward. Beca couldn't do this. "I can't go!" She yelled as she banged on the door more.
The door opened with a smirking Fat Amy. "Pack your bags Mitchell, you and I are going to LA baby!" She yelled and ran off.
Beca was flabbergasted. She stood in disbelief as the laptop was now in her arms. She would be seeing Chloe Beale again. Not just seeing, but working with her again.
