Beca walked in to the crowded restaurant. She was lead by the hostess to Jesse who was in a black suit and tie. The table was next to a window outlooking the city of LA. It was all lit up in the night sky. Be a walked over and Jesse looked up from his phone. He smiled then stood up to greet her.
"You're dressed fancy" Beca commented seeing the rare outfit on the boy.
"You look beautiful as always" Jesse said and kissed her cheek. Beca then felt her stomach drop. Fuck. Amy was right. They both sat and looked at the menu.
"So uh...how was your day?" Jesse asked and looked up from the menu. Beca shrugged in return.
"It was work. How about yours?" She asked. Never once looking up from her menu.
"Great!" He said and continued to speak. Beca just muffled it out. She kept thinking about Chloe. The fight was awful. How could she see her face tomorrow? Their fight was one they haven't had ever. It left an affect on both of them that they never felt before. If they fought, it was over stupid things. Like for instance, if Beca wouldn't help Chloe pick an outfit, they'd have a small argument. But this was a major and heart ripping fight.
"Hello? Beca? You there?" Jesse asked as he snapped his fingers in front of him.
"Yeah! Yeah! Sorry" Beca said snapped out of her thoughts.
"The waitress" Jesse pointed to the woman standing with the notepad. The woman was tall, had red hair. She reminded her of Chloe. The only difference was the girl had green eyes and pink lips. Chloe had blue eyes and red lips.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I'll just have a salad and a coke with no ice please" Beca smiled at the girl. She nodded and walked away. Jesse watched her walk away and then back to Beca. Beca had no menu to hide behind anymore. They'd now have to actually socialize.
"What's wrong with you?" Jesse asked and Beca just shrugged.
"Nothing, why?" The girl asked.
"Because. You're quiet-"
"I'm always quiet Jesse. You're the one always talking. Think you'd realize that by now" Beca said a little too harshly. She started to get irritated with Jesse. Just by him breathing, she got irritated.
"Oh" Jesse said and just looked down at the table. It was a very awkward silence for a couple minutes until their drinks were brought by the waitress. Both mumbled a thank you and took a sip.
"I need to ask you something" Beca choked out. Jesse nodded and swallowed down the sip of his beer.
"Yeah, anything. What's up?" He asked and put the beer down back on the table.
"If uh...you have loved someone for years- no. Sorry. I don't know how to word it" Beca ranted causing a chuckle from Jesse.
"It's okay, Beca. Take your time" Jesse calmly said.
Beca took a couple deep breaths and a few sips from her drink. She had no idea what love was. Hell, she was still confused how she ever fell for Chloe.

Beca ran up the stairs of the Bella's house to the room Chloe and Aubrey shared. She pushed Legacy out of the way saying 'Sorry!' quickly as she busted into Chloe's room.
"Hey!" Chloe said as she was getting changed. It was normal though. Beca and Chloe had been in the same room as they got changed a million times.
"Hey! Sorry, sorry. I have this mix. You gotta hear it" Beca said as she set her laptop up. She quickly typed the password in and then put the hard drive in.
"Where are your headphones Bec' ?" Chloe asked.
"Bag" Beca simply said. She pulled up the mix and Chloe plugged in Beca's headphones. Chloe was the only one ever allowed to use Beca's headphones. Beca hit play and Chloe admittedly got a smile on her face.
That's when Beca knew. She was in love with Chloe. It had to be love. Beca just stared at her. She was amazed at the feeling in her stomach and the beating of her heart. Chloe's smile made her heart melt, the way she'd slowly bob her head and close her eyes as she lip sang the lyrics. It all made Beca feel insane. It scared the living shit out of her though.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" Chloe whispered as she took the headphones off. Her face as red as her hair. Beca just shut the laptop and grabbed the headphones.
"Uh....no reason. I have class. See you at practice" Beca said and rushed out.
"I didn't even get to tell you what I thought!" Chloe yelled after her and Beca stopped in the middle of the hallway.
"Yeah?" Beca asked and turned to look at Chloe smirking.
"Like always...amazing" Chloe said and walked back in her room.

"If you felt strongly about someone for a long time. You've told them before, but then they had to leave. How can you tell them you're still in strong feelings 5 years later?" Beca asked.
"Well" Jesse said and took a deep breath. "I think you should just tell them. You know, life is so short. Why waste it worrying to tell someone how you feel. It could be true love" He said and then chuckled. "That being said" He said. "I still love you" Jesse smiled softly. Beca felt her heart sink. She was shocked.
"Oh" Beca simply said and just on cue, the waitress came up and delivered their food. "It looks great!" Beca smiled, quickly changing the subject.
"Yeah" Jesse said and they both started to eat. Jesse got a steak and Beca got her usual salad. They both ate their dinner in silence. The only noise was the chatter filled restaurant and the sounds of dishes clattering.
They both paid their share and got up to leave. Once outside Beca went to light a cigarette, but remembered Chloe had them.
"Beca, listen. I'm sorry if I scared you or-"
"You didn't scare me, Jesse. I don't love you" She said the breaking words to Jesse. He just nodded and walked to his car. Beca didn't even bother chasing him.
