Junior year, a new state, a new start.
Same scars , same memories.

"Avery baby, are you ready?" My mom asks worriedly at me staring from my doorframe . I snap back into reality and put on a weak smile.

"Yeah mom I'm ready." I whisper.

"Avie?" My little sister cara says running into my room and hugging my legs. I grin at her and hold her hand as we go downstairs with my mom.

My mom owned her own successful law firm, I was proud of and grateful for everything she did for my sister and I, alone.

My mom had me when she was 20 and still in college but that didn't stop her from pursuing her dream, she thought I was a miracle.

My father? I'd rather not acknowledge him. It was cara who I felt for I of course was old enough to understand but she, she didn't understand.

My father Cole James, I was 12 when I walked in on my father and his secretary, I knew her because whenever I went to my fathers work after school she'd give me a dirty look but around my father she'd be a sweetheart.

Flashback

"Daddy" I say wondering where he is. I ran into his office to see daddies secretary on top of him, with no clothes on. "DADDY!" I screamed thinking he was hurt.

That was until my mommy walked in curious as to why I was shouting. She gasped and let out a painful scream as she fell to her knees.

That was the first time I saw mommy cry.

The secretary jumped off daddy and looked into my eyes , I was confused. "What did you do to my daddy?" I glare at her. "I'm sorry" she whispers to my mother and scurries our with her clothes in her hands.

"Maria-I" daddy says looking at mommy. "Avery?!" He looks at me with shock in his eyes

"Avery baby wait outside" my mommy finally mustered up the courage to talk.

I walked outside but before leaving I looked back at my daddy and shook my head. I realized what he had done and I was disgusted. I might've been twelve but I wasn't stupid.

I closed the door and let them talk but I wanted to understand so I stood near the door.

"Maria please let me explain" daddy begged.
"Explain Cole, explain how you were screwing your secretary, even worse that AVERY SAW!, I am pregnant but because I am carrying your child you decided you wanted to cheat on me with a whore?"
"It just happened baby I promise it will never happen again"
"Fuck off you are an asshole I hate you!" She screamed
I heard a slap and a gasp.
"Maria I'm sorry I didn't mean to hit you please come back I'm sorry baby wait!"

He hit her , she didn't cry, she simply walked out grabbed my hand and left.

Flashback over

Cara is four and doesn't know our father, he didn't bother. Mom would let him see us but he didn't bother.

"I like your outfit baby!" My mom smiles at me.
I looked down at my outfit

I had left my hair in it's curly form and put some foundation on. Thank you Riri for praising us women of color with 40 shades. Y'all other companies are quaking. Cough cough KKW, cough cough Kylie.

"Thanks momma!" I smile at her as I kiss her cheek.

"Avie!Avie! I'm starting kindergarten!!" Cara exclaims

"That's amazing baby, and when I come home you can tell me all about it and I'll take you for some ice cream!" I hug her and grab a bottle of orange juice and a piece of toast with chocolate spread.

As I munch on the toast my mom smiles at me. "Wbfhat?" I ask with a mouthful. As Cara makes a face at me and I swallow "sorry what?"

"Will you take the bin out please?" My mom asks gently with a mischievous smile.

I nod and take the bin out only to see a beautiful Porsche outside beside my moms Mercedes Benz. I gasp and run into the house giving my mom a bear hug. She laughs and hands me the keys. "I know you didn't want to move but you understand why I couldn't stay in the same place as him and her baby" "it's ok mom, thank you!" I kiss her cheek "well you better get going!"

Blake Rivers

I left my house and got in my Honda with a smile on my face. Mom and dad were expecting twins and I was happy for them.

As I arrive to school , I walk into school with eyes on me, you could say I had a glo up, taller, more defined jaw, abs and muscles.

Liam and Lee come beside me and we do our handshake. "How was your summer boys?" I smirk at them.

"Britney is very stalkerish" Lee sighs

"I heard my name!" A high pitched voice says.
Britney, she had been trying to get with me since forever.
Since she couldn't get with me then she tried to get with Liam and now Lee.

"Hey Blakey!" She says seductively well she tried her best anyway.

"Hi Barbara" I wave

"It's Britney!" She rolls her eyes and pouts.

"Yeah okay Babushka, see you around!" I say waving goodbye to her. Liam and Lee laughing behind me as I smirk at them.

The bell rings which means I have English, with Liam . Lee goes to music and lifts two fingers to us and salutes goodbye.

Me and Liam walk in a greet the teacher Ms. Peace as we sit in the back that has 3 seats. The one in the middle was free. She smiles at us and the rest of the students walking in.

A girl walks in who catches my attention. She looks mad, but damn she's beautiful. She was melanin , rich chocolate with wavy black hair, her hazel brown eyes and gorgeous lips.

Who is she?
