"Keep talking..." I trailed off. Shelby was going to tell me a secret. She never tells secrets. She probably swore on her heart she wouldn't.
"Can we do it in your room. Your sisters in the kitchen." That's when I heard something being dropped into the sink. Now I know how she got into my house.
"Ugh... Fine. Let's go." I sighed slumping up the stairs. Once we arrived in my room Shelby locked the door. "Its a secret. Its not like my sisters a spy."
"Shh... Talk quieter. I don't want anyone else knowing this but you."
"Oy"
"Shh..."
"Okay. Okay. Whats your super secret secret?"
"I have a crush on someone."
"Really. Who is it?"
"Its a two year crush."
"Damn child. You must be very desperate now."
"Its one of Kaleb's friends. He went to the concert with you guys tonight."
"You Like Michael!"
"Shh..."
"Sorry. Sorry. Why didn't you just tell me this before? Or tomorrow?"
"Because"
"Because..."
"I wasn't able to get the courage to tell you. Or anyone else."
"So what are you going to do to get his attention?"
"I don't know. Maybe a note? Or a song?"
"You can't sing good. Or write well. Do you really like those options?"
"Shut up and help me think."
"Sassy much."
We spent half an hour thinking of ways to get Michaels attention on Shelby. We didn't think of anything. Homecoming was coming up soon though. This year instead of girls asking the guys, guys had to ask the girls. The school had this yearly thing when they think of ways to pair people up for dances. We were only able to hope Michael asked her.
Speaking of Shelby liking Michael I started thinking about Kaleb. His eyes sparkled in the show lights at the concert. In the dark his lips seemed to look plump. Weird right? That's what I thought until I noticed I was starting to have feelings for him. I couldn't believe what I was thinking.
Shelby decided to sleep over since it was raining and it was the weekend. We had to call her parents but they were asleep. So we asked her older brother. Luckily he said yes. Her brother was just awesome like that.
We went to bed at around 12 midnight. We had watched a few movies before going to bed. We watched Thor and The Hunger Games. I really wanted to tell someone about Shelby's secret but I knew she wouldn't approve. As dumb as I was I asked her anyways.
"Shelby?"
"No"
"You don't even know what I was going to ask you."
"You want to tell someone my secret."
"Or you do."
"Ugh..."
"Can't I at least tell Kaleb, Stephanie, and Jennifer?"
"Only one person."
"Fine. Can I tell Kaleb?"
"Why him?"
"I don't know? Maybe he knows who Michael likes."
"Ugh... Fine. You can tell him."
"Thank you. I can't keep secrets unless I tell someone else."
"Wow! Now let me watch the movie."
I heard the sarcasm in her voice and I felt very offended. So I just watched the movie and kept quiet. But I wasn't really paying attention to the movie. I kept asking myself if Michael might actually like Shelby and about my feelings for Kaleb. Soon I fell asleep on the couch still thinking. Shelby ended up stealing my bed. I was going to be very mad the next morning.
Shelby likes Michael? I wonder if he's going to ask her to homecoming.
Busy busy. I might not be able to post chapters during the weeks because I don't have WiFi at my home. My dad says we don't need it. Sorry.
