A/N: This chapter takes place November 7th & 8th. The day before and of the party.
P.S. omg Has anyone else watched this video. I watched it when I was like 10.I walked around the cafeteria giving out invitations for Kaleb and I's birthday party. I was in charge of getting people to come to our party. Kaleb, so badly, wanted to take care of decorations. He said I couldn't see the decorations until the party. Kaleb gathered up a crew including Jacob to help him. My mom would be catering and she found a great babysitter for Steph's little cousin.
We were able to get a really good venue for our party. It was big. The dining area was simple with round tables and flowers for a centerpiece. A big wooden floor was cleaned out to be used for dancing. Finally, the ceiling was decked out in crystal chandeliers dangling more than 10 feet above my head.
I handed out invitations to anyone and everyone. Not everyone in the school everyone but everyone. If you don't get it. I'm done with you.
Kaleb had 2 free periods so he used them to decorate. He also stayed up later that night to work on the finishing touches. Before he left for his free periods he told me to go pick out a dress during my free periods and he said that it should be purple or blue. I could only think of what he could have been doing.
Me, Steph, and Shelby had the same free periods so we went looking for dresses together. We only had two hours so we had to find a dress and get out. So many places to go. Looking around the mall shops until we found a dress. We walked into Macy's and after walking around for few minutes I found the perfect dress. It was a long, flowy, strapless dress with both purple and blue. Best of both worlds huh Kaleb? The gown a midnight style with the purple slowly transitioning into the dark blue. Same with the glitter. Small specks on the top slowly turned into thicker specks of the glitter on the bottom. This will sound so girly but guess what? It was only 25 bucks. After we all chose our dresses we went back to school for our remaining classes of the day.
Finally the school day came to an end and it was the start of the weekend. This meant the people who were attending the party would be going out shopping for gifts and outfits. I on the other hand headed home to check on the final arrangements for the party. The party night was fast approaching.
**********
Party time. It was finally time for Kaleb and I's birthday party. It was a bit formal but still had fun activities like spin the bottle and dances like the Cha cha slide. It reminded me of a wedding.
I was outside of the main party area waiting for the DJ to announce our arrival. Steph, Jennifer, Shelby, and Michael were waiting besides me. Where's Kaleb you ask? I had no idea. "He should be here by now. Should he not. Its his birthday party too. What of he doesn't come on time? What if he's in traffic? What if ma- Hey! That hurt you know." Shelby slapped my arm and I cradled it in pain.
"Stop panicking. We told you already he'll come on time we know it." Jennifer said reassuring me.
"What if he doesn't? How do you know he'll come?" I asked still holding my left arm to help stop the pain Shelby caused me earlier.
"We know because his car is parked outside and he's in the dressing room right there. We didn't want to tell you because that way you be more surprised by his entrance. Jeez. You're like a worry wart."
"Well I'm sorry I'm worried about my boyfriend" I said sarcastically.
A few minutes after that, the DJ called us in. "And now the birthday couple Kat and Kaleb."
When Kaleb heard my name he immediately ran out, took my hand and was ready to walk in. I quickly took in how Kaleb looked. His purple shirt with sky blue tie not to bright, not to dull. A jet black pants with dress shoes not to formal, not to casual.
We slowly walked in and my face was in shock. The venue was beautiful. The large crystal chandeliers now shining either purple or blue. The tables now in blue cloth. As a centerpiece to each table were purple orchids in a clear vase lit by a clear light on underneath. Soon my nerves started to kick in. My stomach started grumbling in pain. I began feeling nervous and worried at the same time. How did I look? Did I have something in my teeth? My hair? Did my makeup look good? I could tell Kaleb was nervous to because he started tensing besides me. "You nervous too?" I whispered.
"Yeah. A bit. You remember the dance?" He asked.
"Nope. You?"
"Nada. Just feel the music and follow me," all while saying this we kept our smiles on and walked to the dance floor.
When the music started we felt it and decided to go with the flow. I only looked down to make sure I was following Kaleb. "Look up or they'll know you don't remember. Just trust me." he said and I slowly started to look up. We looked into each others eyes. I could feel myself moving along with him. Soon the other dancers came in and the song drew to a close as a faster song started to play.
After the dance we kissed and joined the crowd. People started to flood the dance floor. I found our friends and walked towards them. "You guys were great. Now there are ten minutes until we cut the cake." Stephanie said.
"So are we just gonna stand here or are we gonna dance?!" Jennifer asked and we all chanted and ran onto the dance floor.
We danced and danced until the ten minutes were up and it was time to cut the cake. Everyone gathered around the cake and sang a different version of the happy birthday song which soon turned into traditional. After the song finished Kaleb and I cut one piece of cake. Basically the rest of what I'm trying to say is, when newly weds feed each other a piece of the cake and everyone claps as if someone just did a magic trick.
When we finished, the DJ announced that we would be opening the gifts soon. After he said that everyone went back to the dance floor. Jacob found his way to me and tried to tell me something but I couldn't hear over the music and people.
"What?!" I pretty much yelled in his ear.
"I said I need to talk to you outside!" he replied.
"Okay?!" I said confused on why he wanted to talk to me.
Jacob took me to a door covered with purple, blue, and white streamers. When the streamers were moved a rusty door was revealed marked with giant red letters spelling out EXIT. Once we were out the door there was an empty ally looking place with brick walling.
"I need to tell you something. I didn't come here just to visit you. I came here to tell you..." he trailed off.
"Tell me what?" I asked really wanting to know cause at this point I should be eating cake.
"I came here to tell you I love you," he blurted out just as Kaleb walked out of the door his as shocked as mine.
Sorry to leave you in suspense. Sorry I haven't been updating.
I've been really busy with school and my tablet went bezurk. My computer went bezurk and its been a very weird fall and winter for me. Happy Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
