Katalina's P.O.V.

The weekend was over and it another Monday came. Back to school after the best weekend of my life. Kaleb and I are finally a couple. It was kind of weird at first but we got used to it. Not to mention we also had to get used to Michael and Shelby together. Jennifer and Stephanie were sad because they don't have boyfriends but they're still happy for us. I know they'll meet they're special someone someday.

I dragged myself out of bed and got ready for school. After I got ready, I went downstairs to eat my breakfast and soon left. Once we all finally got to school, we went to our lockers. Luckily, today was a half day and we would get to leave school early. I walked to my first class with Shelby talking about homecoming. We reached our class and set our books down on our desks and followed the directions listed on the board. It might have been a half day but it sure didn't feel like one.

After our final class, we headed to our lockers before going to lunch. We sat down in our usual spot and went in the lines to get our lunch. Lunch was longer than our classes so I was especially happy for that. Once I finished my lunch I went to the bathroom. While in the bathroom the announcements came on to list the buses outside. I washed my hands and exited the bathroom to see Kaleb standing at the entrance. I was startled and took a step back. He chuckled.

"You scared me. Why are you here?"I asked my hand to my chest.

"For this"he gave me a soft kiss and I shuddered. "I also came because Shelby told me to check if you fell in the toilet."

I laughed. "I wasn't gone that long," I entwined our fingers. "Now let's go before the dean catches us and has a temper tantrum."

He chuckled and we walked from the bathroom back to the cafeteria. It felt nice being together and I thought nothing could possibly separate us. After a while, finally the bell rang signaling the end of the day. People were scattering around going they're separate ways. "Can I give you a ride ma lady?" Kaleb asked bowing.

"Why, that would be just fine Sir Kaleb."I replied.

He took my hand and kissed it. Still holding my hand he spoke again. "This way Miss Katalina." He hand gestured pointing towards the front door.

We walked through talking people waiting for their buses until we got to the door. We weaved our way through the car riders and finally, we reached the parking lot and he led me to his car. His car was a Mercedes in a dark blue.

He opened my door and I climbed inside. This was the second time I was in his car. This time it was just me and him though so it was different. He walked around the car to the other side plopped into the drivers seat. He turned the ignition and started to drive.

I decided to go radio station surfing. I stopped when I heard one of my favorite songs. Fancy by Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XcX. "You listen to this music?" Kaleb asked.

"Um... Yeah I guess. Do you not like it?"

"No. I like this song. I was just asking."

"Oh. Okay." Really that's all you could say? Really? I mentally slapped my head. It might have been nice to be together, but I'm the worst at small talk.

Kaleb started sing along to the song. He was a pretty good singer. I sang along with him and we laughed when we said jibberish to the parts we didn't know. The song finished and we stopped singing. "Not Kaleb. Not bad at all." I said impressed by his voice.

"Not bad yourself. You're really good." he replied. I have to admit I do sing. I'm really good and my mom makes me sing at some of her catering events.

"Thanks. I sing for other people but not often."

"Well you should take chorus. Why aren't you taking it?"

"Because I like art, playing instruments, and just trying new things too. I sing other times so I'm fine without taking a class."

"True. Your voice is amazing. Can you sing at my birthday party?"

"Sure. When is it?"

"November 3rd."

"Okay. My birthday is on Thanksgiving so I get a pretty big meal."

"Lucky"

We finally reached my house. I gave Kaleb one last kiss. Still smiling from what we did on our way her I headed to the front door. I searched for my key until I finally found it. I opened the door and walked in still smiling. My mother greeted me and then I kept walking. I truged up the stairs and went to my room.

I flopped onto my bed smiling. I felt like an idiot still smiling but I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. Having a family and having a home made me happy. Having friends also made me happily but I was happy for having Kaleb. He was a really great guy.

I turned on my bed making myself lay on my stomach. Facing my night stand I moved my hands along the crystals on the lamp shade. It made a chiming noise. I looked at the picture on the small table. A picture of me, my mother, my sister, and my father on a picnic together. I remembered the trip and it was a lot of fun.

In the thought of it I grabbed my house key and my phone. I was going to walk to the small park near our house for a small walk. I made my way to the park.

I arrived at the park and kept walking. Suddenly I got a call from someone. I checked to see who it was but the number was blocked. I answered to see who it was.

"Hello?"

"Hello Kat. Miss me?" a voice so familiar answered. The voice was muscular yet sweet.

"Who is this?"

"Turn around"

I turned around to see who was standing a few yards away. "Jacob?"

Surprise. Jacob has arrived. Her old friend from school.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter. By the way my birthday really is on Thanksgiving.
