Claire felt unbelievably uncomfortable sat n front of Thomas. Perhaps it had something to do with the sharp pointy fangs he had showing in his mouth.Claire realised why she thought there was something different about Thomas.

He wasn't a vampire she had ever seen before. or heard of. He was a vampire from out of town.She couldn't imagine him being sent from Morleys clan of vampires but he has to be from blacke? was he?

"Your not from town" Claire blurted out.

"what?" Eve said and looked at Michael.

" No im not. I am surprised it took you this long to work it out though Claire.I heard that you were one of the smartest people in Morganville, and one of Ameilie's pets. I believe Michael worked it out as soon as i stepped into the room." he looked up at Michael and made a questioning face at him.

Michael nodded and looked at Claire.

He looked worried there was something in his eyes that made Claire think that she should feel nervous aswell.

"no need to be nervous" he laughedt Michael.

"now unfortunatly I didn't just stop by to snack on the already beaten up and blackmail you Into allowing me into your home. although it has been fun. As Claire already Haas pointed out,no I am not from morganville. neither am I from blacke Claire to answer your question."

"what?" Claire asked. he couldn't actually read her mind right? like what was that about.

"yes I read minds Claire. See I am one of 5 as you may put it 'special' vampires. Back 1500 yeas ago they're was a lot more of us.But some of the vampires decided we were a threat to their plans. so they killed all but 5 of us. we have been hiding since. See we are not your 'average' vampires as I have already pointed out. I am what they call a hybrid with a twist. I am part vampire and part werewolf with the special ability to read minds. And because we were stronger than most vampires they saw us a threat and that's what brings me here."

"how can we help you with something from over 1500 years ago" Shane said. he had red marks all over his neck were Thomas had been holding him.

"You four are not all going to help.See I need Claire to help me find a way for us to be able to live with the rest of the vampires. perhaps by curing us, if not back to fully human at least back to just vampire. Yes Claire as you are thinking it is a rather difficult challenge but you must do it, of cause I do not expect you to accomplish this by yoursellf that girl... Rosie?" he looked at Claire then Shane with one of his thick bushy black eyebrows raised.

"Ruby" Claire corrected.

"Agh yes Ruby my mistake. She may be of use to you. Maybe not right now but"

"of cause She isn't you beat her up then half drained her!" Shane inerupted.

" Actually I found her in the dorm like that. I had been looking for her and she was being beaten up by some girl with a much too short skirt and a fake tan gone wrong. I do believe she may have been a problem to you aswelll " he said pointing at Shane then Claire. Claire knew who it was one of Monica's followers, Gina.

"I had to bring her to you because its what I was told to do. Don't ask me why but apparently she will be. But she was bleeding and its hard to resist blood when its bleeding all over this girl who your dragging along." he generally didn't seem like he thought it was a bad thing.

Nobody said anything.

"well its dark I shall get going." Thomas said as he jumped off the sofa. He still seemed odd as though there was still something wrong about him and his story. He left and Michael said "there is something wrong about that vampire. something he wasn't telling us." everybody agreed.

Claire went upstairs and grabbed her laptop from her bedside table then went and checked on Ruby.She was still fast asleep curled up into a small ball. Claire softly closed the door and went downstairs and began to do some research on this Thomas.
