Moving on ~ a morganville fanfiction

Part 2

she woke up to nothing next to her. shane's body was gone, and it was dark in their room.what time was it?. 11:30pm.That ment she had Slept right the way through the afternoon. she must have needed it though.

she got out of bed and looked in the mirror. Her hair was all knotted up and sticking out in random places. she went into the bathroom hoping no one would see her walking there.she heard voices downstairs.

" the meat pizza is the best obviously eve" Shane Said.

"no cheese is." eve replied."Michael help me out here? you know wife protection?"

"sorry eve got to agree with Shane for once" Michael said with a slight laugh in his voice.

Claire went into the bathroom and sorted out her hair looking in the newly fitted mirror above the sink. They had all decided they needed a bigger mirror in there because the last one was tiny.

Once her hair was in an acceptable state she made her way down the stairs slowly. The debate was still going on about the best type of pizza. So when Claire was on the second to last step she said "cheese beats everything".

Everyone looked up to see Claire. Shane smiled and she smiled back and went to sit next to him.

"No Claire sit with me. Us cheese pizza people have to stick together!"

Shane flipped her off. Claire tried to get up but Shane grabbed her around the hips and pulled her off.

Eventually Claire got up and sat next to eve on the floor and she hugged her.

" yo Shane, don't expect me to come cuddle up to you and hug you.I mean your a nice guy and all but not that nice"

"That's not what you said the other night Mikey, what is it are you scared you like me too much?" shane said back to Michael.

It carried on like this for about an hour. everyone talking and laughing.

Claire began to think that maybe just this once everything would end up okay.
