Ch.14

*5 years later*

*Connor's POV*

So, Haley and I have been in a great relationship. Ever since that night when she came to my house, we have been so close. We have moved in together and our relationship is amazing. She is amazing. I couldn't ask for anything more. She is the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I want her to know that. Tonight I'm bringing her out to dinner, and I'm going to propose. Yup, propose. I want to be with Haley for the rest of my life, and tonight I plan on walking out of that restaurant with my fiancée.

*Haley's POV*

I was watching a movie when Connor walked up to me,

"Hey babe." He said, and kissed me on the cheek.

"Hey what's up."

"So tonight I'm taking you out for dinner, 7 o'clock, ok? Wear something nice." And then he got up and went back upstairs.

I didn't really know what was going on, but I just went with it. I checked the time, it was already 2:30. I knew it was going to take me forever to get ready so I went to take a shower. When I was done I picked out my outfit. It was a gold, sparkly dress that stopped right above the knees. I picked out a pair of gold heels, and went to do my hair. I lightly curled it and applied some makeup. I grabbed a purse and went to wait for Connor. It was already 6:30, so I figured he would be ready soon. I checked my phone and went on Instagram until he was ready. A few minutes later he came downstairs wearing a tux.

"Wow aren't you fancy." I laughed, and poked his nose.

"You look gorgeous." He said, and kissed my forehead. "So are you ready?"

"Yep, let's go!"

We got into the car and Connor drove us to the restaurant. When he pulled into the parking lot a huge smile appeared on my face.

"Connor this is my favorite restaurant! But it's so expensive, we didn't have to come here."

"Anything for my princess." He says.

We walked in and went to our table. We talked about random things, and I asked him about his YouTube channel. After a few more minutes of talking the waiter brought us our food. When we were done I excused myself to go to the bathroom. I got up but Connor grabbed my hand. When I turned around to ask him why he grabbed me, he was down on one knee. I put my hands over my mouth in shock, and tears came to my eyes.

"Haley, I have known you my whole life. Literally. These past few years we have been dating have been the best years of my life. I know we had our ups and downs, but I couldn't imagine my life without you. You're my other half, my best friend, my partner in crime. I don't want to spend the rest of my life with anyone except you, so will you do me the honor, of being my wife? Haley, will you marry me?"

Tears were streaming down my face, probably ruining my makeup. I was so happy, I have been waiting for this moment forever.

"Yes."

Connor slid the ring on my finger, picked me up and spun me around, and kissed me passionately on the lips. Everyone in the restaurant was clapping. After that Connor paid the bill and we went home. We walked into our house hand in hand, ready to live the rest of our lives together.
