Chapter 05 - A New Dawn

Year 5023, Sunday March 23, 09:15 hs.
It was a peaceful morning in a new land where we found a small but joyful town hidden in the forest. An immense forest covered the whole region and the few villages that populated the area were established in small open spaces in the middle of the forest. Many of these villages were close to rivers, lakes or mines that the villagers used to stock up on the resources they so badly need to survive day by day in this wild land full of dangers.

The small town where we meet in this peculiar dawn is the town called Woody Town. This village is established on the banks of a small lake and half a kilometer from an immense fortress made of reddish rocks and adorned by hundreds of crystals that radiate fire constantly. Its inhabitants are humble workers who make a living doing carpentry, fishing and gathering fruits and vegetables native to the area, and trade carpentry and food services in exchange for minerals and crystals with the inhabitants of the fortress that lies towards the north of the village. In this village with a medieval style each house or cottage was built exclusively with wood since they cannot use other material. Nevertheless, the inhabitants are very well accustomed to the life in the forest and the smiles were not lacking in any house because everyone knew that only being united would be able to survive in a region as wild as in that they live.

It all begins as soon as the young prince begins to awaken. He is lying in an old handmade bed, with straw as a mattress and a blanket covering the straw to avoid discomfort when sleeping on it. Feeling the roughness of the worn blanket on the amount of straw below his body, he begins to move believing that he is sleeping in his comfortable bed next to his beloved family but as he moves, doubts increase when he feels something was not right with his bed.

- Niro: - Feeling like the straw scrapes his skin every time he moves for comfort, the prince begins to complain in a low voice - Hum ... Eh ... Yahm ... What's going on with the bed today? ... Hmm ... Ah ... Uncomfortable ... Hadn't we changed the mattress fill the other day? Why is it so ... rough? - Suddenly he pricks himself with a bit of dry straw that forces him to open his eyes and backs off by the fright since nothing ever stung him while he slept - Eh? But what!? - Climbing backwards he bumps into the wooden wall and bangs his head against a wooden shelf causing some books to fall on his head - Auch-Au-Au-Auch! - Taking off the books and rubbing his head a little, he starts to turn around feeling lost when he finds himself in a place he had never been before - Oh ... That hurt ... But ... Where am I? This place isn't our lair ... I don't know this place ... Where would I be now? Wasn't it all a dream? - Suddenly he remembers everything that happened and is frightened to see that he no longer brings that katana that was granted the night before. He begins to worry and despair at not seeing it anywhere - Eh? The relic! Where is? Where is? Where is? - Checking through the small room full of various objects stored and stacked, Niro tries to find the relic but is nowhere. Trying to calm down since he knows that by getting nervous he will not find anything, he tries to remember what was the last thing that happened to him – It's not here ... It's nowhere ... Where has it gotten itself? Um ... What happened last night? I can't remember well ... Hum ... The last thing I remember is that light and ... that strange sensation ... - Suddenly a blurred image appears in his head, an image in which he was dragged by a person through the forest - ¿Hey? Wait... Wait a moment ... This must be the outside world ... If I woke up here, it means that someone brought me here ... But who and why?

Meanwhile the young hero thinks about the hows and the whys, a person observes him from the height while hiding between the wooden girders that support the ceiling and divide between the first and second floor of the place. Sneaking through the wooden girders and poles using the leftover of that open space above the warehouse where Niro is, this person listens to him and studies with caution not to be discovered. A tail moves between the girders and slowly pushes a small window into the ceiling as it prepares to escape at any time.
