He darted off the field regardless of his family's pleas. "Thanks for throwing me under the bus, nerfherder"! His sister shouted.
He sprinted to the house and threw open the door that lead into the Great Library. He gasped for breath and leaned against a shelf with dusty, antique books on them. Just then, a curious looking book fell to his feet. He picked up the book and studied it. It was bound with smooth, black leather with pages yellowed with age. He looked at the cover. It had the name 'Lilly' in neat, gold calligraphy on the cover. His eyes widened. He was yanked into a vision. This is Lilly. She will disappear one hour after birth. You must learn to cope with it, because it will be part of the Jedi twin prophecy".
"Padmè. I have something to tell you".
"We aren't gonna let her leave us".
"I'll protect Lilly with my life". "Palpatine is here. I sensed his presence"!
"We need an assistant back at our imperial lab located on Endor",
"We'll take the one you call 'Lilly' ".
"NO! LILLY! Lilly"...
"Luke. It's Lilly. I'm here".... He sat there, contemplating the vision. Was that... Lilly's history? Lilly was on Endor. A slave?? Like his father. The Jedi twin prophecy? What was that? Well, she was part of it... He got up, brushed himself off, and put the book back. Anakin burst into the room. "I heard a screaming child! Oh, it was only you." Anakin said mockingly.Anakin's shart eyes scrolled across the Great Library until the book caught his eye. "Luke! I told you to stop snooping through my things!" Luke shrank back in his clothes."Get out!"
Luke got up and strolled out into the field, where Leia was cleaning. "Hey Leia," Luke hollered, "Can I tell you something?"
Leia whipped her head around and glared at Luke like she meant business.
"Don't 'hey Leia' me! I'm the one who got thrown under the bus!" Leia snarled.Luke looked at her, startled, and managed to muster a pinch of courage. "Back off, nerfherder! It's important!" Luke said, his voice lined with suave.
"Fine. This better be good," Leia remarked, "I can almost feel Obi-Wan yelling at me in the future."
"I've been having these weird visions about a blonde girl named Lilly. Every time I see her, she's always in a different location, but she always seems to say 'Luke. It's Lilly. I'm here," Luke informed her.
Leia looked at her, Luke's ghostly expression reflecting on Leia's dark, cloudy brown eyes. "Like a vision?" Leia asked, her voice lowering to only a whisper, "What are you meaning to say?"
"I think the vision is telling me I should rescue her," Luke replied, his head bowed.
Leia and Luke looked at one another and as if by a silent signal, they both walked to the temple, where Anakin and Obi-Wan were meditating. Anakin and Obi-Wan each opened one eye, sensing Anakin's twins entering the sacred space. Anakin's piercing blue eyes were now fixated on them, waiting for the two of them to spit something out. Luke, wanting to break the silence, looked at them, a solemn expression plastered to his troubled face. He was eager to break the silence, but he was scared that Anakin would think it was just a silly dream. Just then, Leia opened her mouth to speak, knocking Luke's steady flow of thoughts off track. "Luke had a vision about a girl. He thinks the force is telling him he should rescue her," Leia stated.
Obi-Wan looked at them with understanding in his blue-gray eyes. "Go pack. Meet us at the ship in ten minutes," he replied.
Luke and Leia wandered off hand in hand to their quarters to pack. Luke swung the dark brown dusty door open, revealing their room. Luke grabbed his pack and put his lightsaber in the very bottom, and Leia broke the sacred silence by saying "Are we sure about this?" She asked.
"Yes."
"Won't we get homesick?"
"Risks sometimes need to be taken."
"We could bring Padmé or Anakin with."
"No."
"Why?"
"The question is, are you sure? I'm fine with going alone. But just know this: In life, you can't stay in hiding. You have to step into the limelight. If you stay in the shadows, your spirit will lavish. You got it? I've got it. And if you don't, that's ok. If you don't, have fun with your soul lavishing, shady one."
Leia looked up at him, her eyes sparkling with fiestiness, but her expression of reproof faded when she realized how much it would mean to Luke to do something as big as this. "I'm ready."
"Good."
They silently walked into the field by the starships where Obi-Wan was standing, a vivid statue carved by the hands above controlling everything. Padmé stood behind him, a shell of a woman. Her spirit translucent, she mouthed goodbye to her children. a
Anakin stood by her, menacing and tall, but his eyes softened when he saw them. They stared at them, grave expressions on their wan cheeks. Anakin looked at Luke, and mentally killed his pride with a blade of sorrow. "Go." Anakin managed to force out of his throat, his voice cracking with depression.Luke took in the very being of the silent figures and memorised it all. The worry creases, the gathering of tear droplets on their jet black eyelashes; everything. Luke and Leia silently stepped into the comforting shade of the ship and hid in their flesh. The ship made a rumble and Luke silently took his seat while Leia stood in the window, staring at her sorrowful guardians standing by the starship. Sorry, Leia mouthed, and as if accepting the apology, they all stepped away in sad unison, heads bowed. In a split second, Luke could almost feel his very essence fading, falling through his receiving fingertips.
Luke and Leia stepped in front of the window and stared at the masterpiece laid out before them. Swirls of navy blue entangling with orchids and crimsons, spiraling out into the distance. The small stars were like droplets, clinging onto the universes coat, red stars, white stars, yellow stars, blue stars, they were all raindrops. The energy seemed to silently glow and fall through everything like rain, passing through every gate, and space and time seemed to fluctuate into a condensed ball of nothing. They curved and broadened out in front of them, the intense calm energy Luke felt before faded in front of his eyes as his vision clouded into an oblivion of thoughts, the stars making lines all across the horizon, snaking behind them as they took off...
