Victoria Hufflepuff: Year 1

My Ravenclaw Hero

~Unknown POV~

         I was walking along the shores of the green lake, This was my second year at Hogwarts. I am what you call a Half-breed, My father was a Wizard and my mother a Veela. I never really like the attention given to me by the other wizards and witchs because of my mother. They say how "charming" I am, thanks to my mother I have constant herassment. Anyways, as I was walking I heard the splashing of water. It seemed that whatever or rather whoever was in distress.

          I quickly ran to the sound, I see a student most likely a first year struggling to keep a float. I watch as she sinks and I take off my cloak, I wore a Ravenclaw vest and dove into the water. I see her eyes slowly closing and I try to swim faster, I grab her hand and swim really fast to the surface. I managed to pull her on to the shore, I put my ear to her chest. 

         I heard crackling noises, there was definately water in her lungs. I then tried to perform CPR. Luckly my mother wanted me to learn this skill so I vould helpnin a situation like this. I continued to do this until she coughed up the water that resided in her lungs. She slowly opened her eyes and looked at me, "A you alright?" I asked her.

~Back to normal POV (AKA: Victoria's) ~

         I opened my eyes, they were slightly fuzzy. "Are you alright?" I heard a voice call, once my vision cleared some I saw a very handsome boy. He had medium length brown hair and palish skin, He eyes were blue like the sky. "W-what?" I ask sligjt dazzed, "I asked if you were alright. Are you?" He asks again. "Y-yes I think so..." I say the charm had wered off.

          "W-what is your name?" I ask sitting up, he smiled and sighed. "My name is Ivan. Ivan Trotter." He says helping me to my feet, He was taller than me. Then again most boys were taller than me, "what were you doing in the green Lake? You do know its dangerous right?" He asks putting on his cloak. I see the is a Ravenclaw, He was my Ravenclaw Hero.

         "Y-yes I am aware...." I say debating if I should say I was tossed into the lake, "well we should probably head to our common rooms yah? Wouldn't want the teachers to fine we were in the lake" he says with a smile beginning to walk. I walk with him, "My name is Victoria. Victoria Hufflepuff"  I say and he nodds. "Yes your name is rather famous around Hogwarts, You being the first Muggleborn in Slytherin. How did you manage that if uou don't mind me asking?" He asks as we reach the castle.

        "My ancestors are Helga Hufflepuff and Salazar Slytherin..." I say awaiting his reaction, his smile widened. "AH HA! I won the bet! You see most Ravenclaw were determined to find out the reason of you being in Slytherin. That was my hypothesis, and we made a bet as to which Hypothesis was correct" he says rubbing his hands together. "I will be  50 gold-galleons richer by tomorrow" he says and I nod. "So Ivan are you a first year?" I ask him and he shakes his head, "oh no I am a second year" he says moving a hand through his hair.

        "Oh.... well I wanted to thank you for saving my life Ivan..." I say shifting my feet, He smiles. "Thats alright I couldn't just let someone drown, not when I could do something about it." He says as we part ways, I remember that Severus had told me the common room was in the dungeons. I make my way there, I think  I gained a new friend.
