Whenevet a threat rises its head, you are quick to defend your friends — for example, I'm quite sure you don't let anyone walk over Chloe, and after that Jana girl died, you made sure no one disrespected her memory. True, you can get quite... angry, but in my opinion, that's just perfect. What better way to swear loyalty to your loved ones, than fiercely?
I will admit that I used to be this threat. You left Hell and took Maze with you when I started to get out of control, and although I spent so much time blaming you for it, I've come to the realization that it was my fault. I drove you away, and you made the wise choice. When I showed up on Earth, you didn't want me to hurt anyone — not that it stopped me, but you tried.
But now, more than ever, I need your protection. I love to be self-centered and believe that I don't need anyone, but this one I can't handle on my own. Tonight, I found my dagger — yes, I finally did it. At last, I can breathe. Of course, you know this, because I gave the dagger to you, asked you to take it far, far away, and that's what you are currently doing. Obviously, I'm not asleep like you think, but writing this, smiling to myself because I am so lucky to have you. Especially because I really don't deserve you.
In fact, I deserve that dagger, that grim fate I've been trying to avoid. But nevertheless, I am scared. Which, I think, is why I gave it to you. I'm not sure, I must talk to Linda about it, but I suppose I trust you. You make me feel safe. I love you. And I know that you will never hurt me, unless I force you to it, and I'm trying my best not to. And I know that you will protect me.
I just hope that you will remember to protect and take care of yourself, as well.
