Chapter 10.

Niall:

She was perfect, she looked so cute and so sweet like an angel. I almost thought she was too good to be true.

"So uh...How do you like this party so far?" I asked Claire smiling at her. She blushed and looked down at her shoes and back up up me.

"I like it, how about you?" she spoke soft and sweet.

"It's good, can I get you something to drink?" I asked. Claire nodded her head, "Sprite please." she shyly smiled.

I made my way to the kitchen and opened the fridge, I grabbed a cold bottle of Sprite and shut the door. I jumped back a bit when I saw Kylie standing there. She had a smug but evil look on her face before she spoke.

"Why are you talking to Claire?" she asked rudely.

"Why not? Claire's sweet." I replied. I frowned softly and quickly exited the kitchen making my way back to Claire before Kylie could ask me anything else. Kylie could be nice at times but she had a mean streak in her...

I handed Claire her drink, she thanked me and took it before taking a small sip. I couldn't help but watch her, the way her eyes shinned, how her blonde hair fell perfectly off her shoulders. I kept having to constantly remind myself that I was dating Barbra. I liked Barbra but things between us had been really rough recently and I wasn't sure why she was treating me the way she has been.

I wanted to get to know Claire a little bit better though as a friend for right now even though her soft voice and perfect eyes were pulling at my heart strings. I sighed before talking.

"Hey so...I was wondering if you want to.. Maybe we could go see a movie together sometime..a- as friends of corse." I said and smiled.

Claire looked a little bit surprised but her eyes held happiness.

"Really? S-Sure!" she beamed. I couldn't help but chuckle by how cute she was acting. I wanted to get to know her more, she seemed so perfect and like a great person to be around.

Before I could speak to her again Claire looked around, she was probably looking for Jill. Speaking of Jill, where had she run off to?

"I'm sorry but I have to find my friend..." Claire said. I took her hand gently and intwined my fingers with hers.

"I'll help you. We can look together." she smiled at my words which made my heart beat speed up. I reminded myself again that I was dating Barbra.

Claire and I looked in a few rooms but we couldn't find Jill.

"Niall! What are you doing?!" I heard Barbra's voice and I winced at her tone. As I let go of Claire's hand she and I turned around to see Barbra who looked mad.

"Barbra I-" I tried to speak but Barbra interrupted.

"Why are you with her? You know what? It doesn't even matter, your my boyfriend anyway!" She spat. I frowned at Barbra's attitude and looked over at Claire who had a hurt expression.

"Claire I'm sorry about B-"

"No it's okay...I'll find Jill. It was nice meeting you..." Claire said as she walked away, she gave me a smile but I could tell she was hurt.

Barbra rolled her eyes and walked away leaving me standing there alone and confused.
