Colby
I'm falling harder and harder for this girl. I feel like I'm making a mistake. Vampires shouldn't love anything. Especially not a human.
But I do, I'm falling in love with one and I shouldn't be. I'm starting not to care anymore. I want to love her, I want her to love me back.
Who am I kidding, a human? Loving a vampire? That's crazy....but not impossible. Who knows she might love me.
"You love me?" She gasped.
"Yes. I love you Azalea, That's why I keep saving you instead of letting you die. And I'm scared to keep loving you because I don't know if it's 100% safe for you. Fuck I don't know what I'm doing anymore. Maybe I should just take you back to the town. You can be with your mother and be happy."
"I wanna stay here." She hugged me.
"Azalea it's not sa-"
"I can still visit my mother like you said I could. I just want to stay with you."
"If anything happened to you I couldn't bare to live with myself any longer." I hugged her back.
"Nothing will happen as long as I'm with you."
I agreed to let her stay. My stomach growled angrily, I haven't drank anything in hours.
She moved her hair to side and told me I could take a little blood if I wanted. And boy did I want it, but I wasn't going to.
I'm not going to take a chance on almost killing her again. The taste is just so good it would be nearly impossible for me to stop.
That was a risk I wasn't going to take. Never again will I do that. I'd rather starve than to in danger her life by drinking from her.
"It's ok, I'll just go out and hunt." I headed for the door.
"Can I come?"
"If your stomach can handle it."
We held hands as we walked into the woods, where the camp grounds were. Alot of people surprisingly still go camping.
A lady, around her mid twentys was chopping down wood for her campfire.
Azalea slipped out of my grasp and walked up to the lady. She yelled out while grabbing her side.
The lady stopped what she was doing to help her. Azalea was helping me, for an easier kill.
"Are you okay!? What happened!?" The lady shrieked.
"Nothing." I twisted the lady's neck.
It made a loud cracking sound, her bones poked out. The scent of blood filled my nose, sending a frenzy through me.
I dropped down and sucked the dripping blood from the lady's neck. I drained her body in less than 5 minutes. That should hold me for another hour.
Azalea crawled to me, then wiped the corners of my mouth, that had excess blood dripping down.
"Do you have any vampire powers?"
"I can kiss pretty good." I joked.
"Really? Since when?"
"Oh you better take that back."
"Or what?" She pretended to be scared.
I tackled her and attacked her face with kisses. She squealed, moving her head left and right to avoid my kisses.
She stopped squirming, letting me kiss her properly. Her tiny hands caressed the side of my cheek.
In the distance a group of the town's people started walking towards the camp grounds. Azalea and I ran back to the house.
"I like that power." She whispered in my ear.
"Oh you do?"
"Yeah, show me again?"
"Gladly." I pulled her into me then connected our lips.
Moments later things got carried away. She took off the jacket I was wearing and threw it to the floor.
I nipped at her ear with my fangs, her body curved upwards from under me. My fangs normally come out when my body is feeling pleasure or anger. In this case it's pleasure.
Azalea slipped off her shirt, I could hear her heart thumping. I zoned out, her heart...Blood.
Blood, I closed my eyes, trying to shake off the craving. This time it didn't go away. It just grew.
My breaths turned ragged, Azalea got the message and stood up. A sharp pain hit my temples, causing me to yell.
"Run." I growled.
"W-what?"
"Run! I can't hold it in, you have to get away from me."
I completely zoned out, my other side, the killer side, took over me. I hissed at her, she ran. I chased after her, I had no control over my mind.
She ran through the woods, she was fast but I was faster. I cut off her path, she fell. She scrambled to her feet and ran in the opposite direction.
The scent of her blood was stronger now that her adrenaline was pumping.
Eventually I caught her by her wrist and threw her to the ground. She kicked and punched, trying to get me off. I held her arms above her head.
"Please don't do it." She cried.
I forced her head to the side, revealing the vein that was popping out. I strained to keep myself from biting into her neck, I couldn't hold back.
"I love you Colby please."
This made me snap back to normal. I got off of her. What the hell did I just do?
That feeling, the craving, the want...it was painful. She embraced me in a tight hug.
"Go back to the house." I softly pushed her away.
"You're leaving?"
"Just for an hour or so. I'll be back."
"It's because of me." Her bottom lip quivered.
"I just need to clear my head, go back to the house and lock the doors. Okay?"
Tears streamed down her face, "okay."

I'm going to mention this in temptation as well just a heads up. I know that my books escalate very quickly, only because that's how things happen in real life. People catch feelings quick...real quick. Just thought I should throw that out there.
