Colby
It was too dangerous to stay here. She killed over 15 people and I killed Demitre here.
No one will find Demitre, he's long gone. And the animals should eat the human bodies over time.
Over time is a long time so that's a possibility that someone could see the bodies.
If we go back to the castle we would be safer. We wouldn't have to worry about everyone trying to kill her now that she's a vampire.
On the other hand Scotty could teach her how to control her thirst. I don't want her to become a blood fiend.
"Come, we need to go back to the castle." I grabbed her hand.
We ran, she was way faster now. In the middle of running she stopped in her tracks, sniffing the air.
There was a scent of blood, she growled hungrily. I pulled her along, I picked her up so she wouldn't run away.
Once we were back at the castle we climbed up a tree that lead us to my room. I let her go first, through my window.
Scotty, Brennen, and Sam were already sitting on my bed with a smirk on their faces.
The hell is going on here? Azalea hid behind me, afraid of what their reactions would be.
"So you finally did it." Scotty said.
"She wanted me to." I rolled my eyes.
"Since when do you take orders....from anyone?" Brennen asked.
"Mr.Tough guy." Sam chuckled.
"Leave him alone." Azalea squeaked from behind me.
My heart melted, she's trying to defend me that's possibly the cutest thing she's done so far.
Brennen stood up, coming over to us. He lightly moved me out of the way so he could get to Azalea.
She stood strong, no longer weak. Brennen showed his fangs to her, only for her to show hers back.
The rest of the boys murmured laughs among themselves. Oh no, I forgot about the thing that happens for new vampires that come into this castle.
They have to be challenged by the second strongest vampire. In this case Brennen would be the second strongest.
I stepped in between the two, not wanting to see either of them get hurt. Scotty put a hand on my shoulder.
"It's a tradition sir." He told me.
"I'm not going to watch her get beat up." I stated.
"A tradition is a tradition." Sam added.
It took everything in me to walk away and sit down. I don't know why I even made up that stupid tradition.
Fang flew out of my closet and rested on my shoulder. I petted his head, I missed this little guy.
Brennen circled around Azalea, checking out his chances. He pushed her not hard enough for her to fall though.
She pushed him back only harder. It was a back and forth between pushing and shoving.
"Make your move, or do I need to beat up your boyfriend first." Brennen snickered.
"Don't touch him." Azalea sent a punch to his face.
He went through the walls, great another thing to fix. She didn't give him a chance to get up before sending more punches, and kicks.
She lifted him up in the air by his collar. Her eyes were firey red, she threw him back to the ground.
Brennen threw punches, missing terribly. She wrapped her legs around his neck and pulled at his head, trying to get it off of his shoulders.
Scotty and I pried her off before she killed him. She fought to get out of our arms, to get back to Brennen.
"Let me at him!" She screamed.
"Looks like you've got a keeper." Scotty chuckled.
"And a wall to fix." Sam nudged my arm.
She calmed down after a few minutes of us holding her. Now I know her weakness. It's me.
Brennen was angry, he lost his spot as second strongest vampire. I stood at first, Azalea now at second, and him at third.
He stomped down the stairs, Sam followed him. I whispered something in Scotty's ear.
I told him what happened back at the camp grounds. He told us to follow him to the back of the castle to the portable classroom.
It was used for new vampires so they could get their thirst under control. I too had to be in there at one point.
Scotty pulled out a bottle of fresh human blood. Azalea reached for it, but Scotty held it back.
He placed it on a stand and told her not to reach for it until he told her to. Fifteen minutes passed and he still hasn't given her permission.
She eventually lost patience and charged towards the bottle. Scotty got out the rope and tied her to the chair I was once tied to.
"She can only last for 20 minutes without blood. Not good, she has to stay here for a few days." Scotty whispered.
"She won't starve will she?"
"Of course not, you didn't starve did you? I left you in here for a week because you were a maniac. She'll be okay let's go."
"Colby." She started crying.
"It'll be okay, we're just trying to help you. We'll be back after a couple days. I love you." I said, then left with Scotty.
Her screams could be heard from my room. I wanted to set her free, but I couldn't.
She had to get under control first, if I let her go she'll never get that control.
All this for love...It's all worth it, for her.
