Chapter 14- Halloween (Part 3)

Hayden's P.O.V
I sat on the rock in the forest. I was thinking. What if Annie was right? I should've broken up wil Katie earlier. I have come to a realization that Annie is the one for me. She is always there to give me advice. I heard someone running towards me. Then they stopped. "Hay?" a voice said. It was Annie's. "Yeah?" I said. I looked up. Annie was standing in front of me. She had her bra in her hand, she had hickies down her neck and her shorts were hiked up. She sat next to me. "What do you want?" I asked. She looked up at me. "You." She said. She was drunk. "Annie are you okay?" I asked. "Look! Touch it!" She said. I was confused. "Annie what are you say-" she grabbed my hand and placed it over her heart. I tried to move my hand but she kept it there. "Do you feel that?" She asked. "Feel what?" I said. "My heart." Annie replied. "It's beating fast." She added. I focused on the fact that her heart was beating. "That's because I ran real fast." She said. Annie looked at me. She put her bra on my lap. "I saw Katie cheating on you!" Annie said. "Yeah I saw too." I looked down. "That's why I stopped hooking up with Justin and ran to you! So I can find you and be a good friend! I was right Hayden! Katie is a bitch!" Annie said. "Yeah. I guess you were right." I said. "You know what that means?" She asked. "What?" I said. "It's time for a dance party!" She said. She stood up in front of me and started jumping around. I laughed. "Look what I learned!" She said. She turned around and starting twerking. "Okay Ans that's enough." I said. She stopped and sat back next to me. "I saw the girls in there being big sluts." Annie said. "Don't be one of those girls." I said. "They weren't wearing nice costumes! They had barely anything on!" Annie said. "Hayden?" Annie said. She sounded like a four year old. "Yes?" I said. "I have a new favourite drink." She told me. "And what is it?" I asked. "Beer! I had seven cups of it! It's very refreshing!" Annie said. "No Annie that's too much! Only one beer next time." I told her. "Hayden?" Annie said again. I looked her in the eyes. Then she kissed me.

    I kissed back. It felt amazing. Fireworks were going off inside me. I could taste the beer on her lips. We kissed for a good two minutes. "You're a better kisser than Justin! We doesn't know that your only supposed to kiss on the lips. He kissed me on my neck too." Annie said. She giggled. "He's a funny boy." Annie said. "I think I like him." She said. That kinda hurt. "Oh." I said. I looked at my feet. "But I think I love you." Annie told me. Now that made me happy. She leaned her head on my shoulder and fell asleep. "I love you too Julianna." I said.

    I checked the time. 2:30 a.m. I picked up Annie and went inside the barn to find the others. I found them and we walked to Jayden's van. I drove them home. "Thanks." Jayden said when we got to her and Annie's house. They were dropped off last. "You can sleep here if you want. Our parents aren't home." Jayden said. "Ok thanks." I said. I picked up Annie and brought her inside. I was so tired I didn't even know where I slept.
