Part 8

Insight on the lovers

Laito and Subaru walked into the door with anger.  "How did those devils find us?" Laito asked, feeling mad and wanted to kill something.  Subaru sighed as he shrugged.  "How do I know? For all I know the bite couldn't effect her." "Well hopefully, she'll turn into one of us and those devils will kill her."  Subaru looked back at Laito.  "Do you think Rem would kill his own sister?" Laito shrugged as he plopped himself on the couch.  "Knowing him, he would if he had to."  "What's all the fighting about now?" Ayato asked as he looked at his brothers in confusion.  "Did you find Pancake?"  Laito explained the situation to Ayato.  "I see. the question is, will the hunter accept us and join us vamps."

The other two looked at him in shock.  "Wait, a vampire teaming up with devils?  I thought they hated vamps?" Laito asked.  "They do, but if Rem loves his sister enough, he will help defend her from the others, and from us."  "But she's one of us" Subaru said in thought.  "Yes, that's where Rem will have the hardest.  He will have to decide between his sister and his friends."  "So if he decides to kill his sister, then we would have to jump in and protect her."  Ayato nodded.  "I'm starting to like where this is going" Laito said as he took in everything slowly. Shu looked up from the couch, as he popped out an earbud. "Hey can you keep it down? I'm trying to sleep" he said as he looked at the three.  The three of them nodded in reply. 

"Anyway, what are you arguing about now?" he asked confused.  "Laito bit the hunter" Ayato said casually.  Shu shrugged. "Ok then" he said as he  lied back down then bolted in shock.  "Laito bit the hunter? Is she one of us now?" he said in full attention.    "We don't know, she might be.  But the question is, what will those Devils do?"  Shu sat there in thought.  "That's not the question right now.  The question is will the hunter survive the bite without those devils killing her?"  The three looked at him in shock.  "What?" Shu said feeling creeped out. "How do you know that, Mr. I listen to music and sleep all day?" Laito asked Shu.  Shu looked at him in anger as he bolted from the bed up to Laito.  "Hey, I might do that all day, but sometimes I listen to books."  "Alright enough" Ayato yelled at them.  They stopped fighting as Shu walked back to the couch.  Ayato huffed.  "Ok, so what's the plan?"

"Well. I think we should wait and see what the devils do next" Laito suggested.  They all stood there in thought.  No one replied at first.  Ayato looked at Laito with confusion.  "What are you meaning?"  Laito huffed.  " I mean, we don't do anything now, just watch the hunter and see what she'll do next."  "I agree with Laito" Shu yelled from the couch.  "GO BACK TO BED!" Ayato yelled at him.  Shu shrugged. "Whatever" he said as he fell back to sleep.  "Talk about laziness" Ayato said in a huff.  Laito looked at him.  "Let's monitor the hunter, and she what she does.  And if anything happens, jump in and take over" he suggested.  The others smiled.   "I think we shall, and I think we should visit the hunter sometimes too" Ayato said.  "I agree with Ayato" Shu yelled again.  "Shu, your not paying attention.  Do you know what is even being discussed?"  Ayato asked.  Shu shrugged then went to sleep. Laito huffed as he made his way out of the room. "He's hopeless" he said referring to Shu.  Ayato huffed.  "He's just lazy that's all" he said as he joined his brother.
