So, I've been thinking a ton about what songs fit the moods of my characters and stories and here are some that remind me of special scenes and themes.
Deer in the headlights By Owl City This one totally reminds me of Vaskin and Manx...namely how their relationship is for a long time before Manx finally lets her guard down, and how Vaskin is just head over heels for her.
Peppermint Winter By Owl City Ok. This one totally captures the innocence and whimsy of the winter and it reminds me of my new story Snowfall Between when the tiger cubs are romping through the snow, and the innocent feelings they have about the forest in the beginning of the story. This song just makes me wanna curl up with a cup of coffee and my cat and just relax. This is how I remember winter in Colorado growing up.
