Different: Troubles!

The next day, Wynter and Max bid goodbye to their parents, and quickly headed to the gates where Ami was patiently waiting.

"H-Hello. Good morning A-Ami-San," Wynter yawned a bit. Ami nodded, "Good morning."

Max yawned again, "What does your home look like?"

"Many trees, flowers, grass." She said, "Rarely snows." She then remember that she had a child, "I have a child."

Wynter smiled, "Really? What's her name?"

"Akane." Ami replied with a smile, "Her father left."

Wynter and Max nodded, "A-Ah."

Jun was walking in front of everyone, "Don't worry Ami-San! It's a C-Ranked mission, so there won't be any enemies!" He said.

Ami gave a curt nod of relief.

Short time skip to the interesting bits

Ami was following behind as they walked through the forests, since the road was not in the exact direction.

It's been 2 days since they left. Not surprising since they stopped to take breaks at some towns, and had to sleep.

Thud.

"Oops.." Ami said and rubbed her knee.

Wynter hurried over and helped her up, "A-Ami-San! A-Are you o-okay?" Wynter asked.

"Yes. I'm clumsy.." Ami said, "Thanks."

Wynter tripped on a rock suddenly, and fell to her knees.

"I've seen this rock.." Ami whispered loud enough so Jun could hear. Max sweatdropped, "Really? I've seen many rocks too."

Jun helped Wynter up, and looked around, just in time to see the leaves rustling on the nearby bushes.

Swish!

A kunai was thrown towards Jun, which he deflected easily.

"For gOd'S SAKE!" Jun groaned and flung a kunai which wobbled in the air since he was not throwing it properly.

FlOoF

"FUDGE NUGGETS!" Max shouted as the kunai hit the grass that was next to him.

Jun started throwing kunai at the bush.

The rock started to disperse into smoke, and Wynter took Ami's hand and pulled her away from the smoke.

"Eh?" A voice drawled out, "What'ss thiis?" He said, dragging out certain letters.

A man with blue hair, eyes dark as night, dressed in all black, with a trench coat ontop of it all, stood in front of them. His lips stretched out into a grin, "Ooh, a couple of deer?"

He crept forwards, and Wynter noticed that his legs were replaced with something that looked like a shadow.

It was almost like a tail.

"I haven't seen one of you guys in a whiiiilee~!" He sang and spun around Wynter.

Max was in front of her, "Leave her alone!"

"My oh my~!" He said and floated upside down, his hair fell so you can see a small widows peak, "I'm SOO scaredd!" He smirked.

Then, he blinked.

Next thing everyone knew, he was on the floor, kissing the ground.

"AGH!" He shouted in pain as his nose got crushed by the ground.

Then, he floated up, holding his now bloody nose. "WAHAHAAHAAA!" He shouted again and felt a kunai grab his shirt and pin him to the tree.

"Shadow Ferns.." he whispered as black ferns sprouted from the ground, emitting a dark and gloomy aura.

Wynter felt one grow near her since the ground shook, "Eep!" She squealed and jumped up, but not fast enough since the fern touched her foot.

Then, she snorted, "Wait.. It didn't do anything.." she whispered.

Poof

She squealed again as she kept turning into her deer form and back.

Pumping chakra into her body did not work, since she couldn't control herself, which was was unusual.

Finally, she stopped transforming, and was now in human form, on the ground, on all fours, then collapsed.

"Wynter?" Max asked as he felt himself started to get tired.

Ami hurried over, "Are you okay Max? You look tired."

Max shook his head, "No, I'm fine. It's just that usual when one of us is tired, the other is tired as well. Same thing goes with the other emotions. Sad, happy, angry, etc." Max said, "It'll wear off in a bit."

Jun decided to cut the nice act and flung kunai at him, one landed successfully on his shin.

"No fair!!" He huffed and flung kunai that had the same aura as the Shadow Ferns.

It grazed Jun's nose, creating a small scratch.

Chakra began to burst out of Jun since he wasn't able to control the chakra, which was odd.

Fire began shooting out of Jun's hands and mouth (whenever he opened it at least).

"W-What?" Jun asked as fire literally flew from his mouth, almost hitting the man.

Jun growled in frustration, "We don't even know who you are!!!"

"I am.." He pauses to think, "A mystery man!" He said.
