War and Woes

Chapter 3

They landed in a dark forest, he had seen this place from the palace window. He looked around and sensed somebody hiding in the shadows, they were hostile. Shadows wrapped around the person and brought them into the light. It was a little boy, Percy quickly released him, he just felt scared now.

"I'm sorry if i scared you, i thought you were going to attack us." He knelt down infront of the boy.

"W... who are you people and how did you just appear." The boy was shaking, he was about the age Mary was when he found her.

"It's ok we won't hurt you, do you have any intention of hurting us?" The boy quickly shook his head. "Alright then. Im Percy, have you heard of Chaos?"

"Yeah, she created the universe. My father told me she would send her elite soldiers to save us, before he died."

"Your father was right kid," He looked up. "We are those elite soldiers and we are here to help you. Now i can send you to my mother, Chaos, and she can keep you safe and give you a place to stay with my two adopted daughters. Do you want that?"

"You the son of Chaos." The kids eyes were wide.

"Yes, she adopted me, another time i will tell you my story. Before you go what's your name, but do you want me to send you to Shining City?"

"My name is Logan, can you really give me a home?" Percy nodded. "Then i will do it, but if you see my sister will you send her to me. Her name is Alana, she looks just like me."

"Ok Logan if we see you sister i will try and bring her to you. Now i'm going to open a portal all you have to do is walk through. Let me tell her now."

"Hey Mom, we found a little boy named Logan who lost his family, i'm going to send him to the throne room through portal. He knows you are my mother and should trust you, put him with Annie and Mary."

"Ok Percy, i'm waiting with the girls." he cut the connection.

"Ok Logan, once you step through that portal you will see my mother and daughters. They will help you ok?"

"Ok Percy, i trust you to help give me a new family." Percy opened the portal and watch the boy walk through and didn't close it until he felt him exit.

"Your good with kids Percy." Alex spoke. "But you can't adopt everyone, you and Emm will want your own right." He nudged Percy with his should. Percy grabbed his hand and flipped him onto his back.

"I still have a better chance than you." He released Alex and helped him up. "Ok guys, this will be a hard fight, but we are the elite soldiers of Chaos. We will win this war!" The Rangers cheered before melting into the shadows and following Percy towards the sounds of battle.

They walked to the edge of the forest and watch as the rebels were fighting in rags with blunted weapons, the dictator was atop some galactic version of a horse while his troops all had shining armor and sharp weapons.

"This seems like a perfectly fair fight, why in the world would we need to help." He muttered sarcastically before he was slapped on the head by Mary.

"Not the time for sarcastic comments Percy." He muttered something about how he can't fight with a hurt head before he got punched in the arm and quickly shut up.

"Ok guys we need to get the rebel fighters to get away from the leaders, we take out the leaders then we take out the rest of the army. Nothing we haven't dont before." They nodded. "Alex," He waved the youngest ranger and his little brother over. "I know you are probably the second most deadly person in all of the rangers, but please for me try not to get hurt or worse. I can't lose my brother."

"I'll be careful Percy, i promise." He pulled his younger brother into a hug before they went to catch up with everyone else. He looked over the Rangers there were 200 of them now.

"Split off to the sides, Alex JJ were taking middle!" Everyone split off to their assignments and started giving the rebels instructions to fall back. They cheered when they saw the Rangers. Once they were all out of the way everyone besides the three engaged the army leaving the three leaders, the dictator and two commanders.

"Ah yes, the 'elite' soldiers of Chaos. What are you going to do, jump out of the shadows and yell boo." The trio laughed.

"I mean i did jump out of the shadows for the last dictator this planet had. Do you remember what happened to him?" The two commanders paled but the man in the middle just laughed.

"Listen kid, you can't beat me or my army. You can try and watch all your friends get slaughtered, no different to me. You fail to kill me and i will never come back, but you will be broken beyond repair."

"I already am broken beyond repair." Then he charged, Alex and JJ took the two commanders. "For my parents!"

He was a flurry of strikes faster than light. No matter how hard he tried this guy would just dodge out of the way.

"Fight me like a man you coward!" He threw a wild slash at his chest which he didn't expect to hit. He couldn't duck in time and Percy's sword cut a deep gash across his chest. The two commanders grabbed their leader and fled away from the three rangers. "Let's go help the rest of the rangers." They turned towards the army and Percy almost broke down in sobs. There were only just over a hundred rangers surrounded by the other half of the army. He lost a huge chunk of his family just then, another piece of his heart was broken.

"Percy," Alex put a hand on his shoulder. "Percy come on we have to help them." He nodded numbly and they flashed into the battle.

A.N. Percy is just going to be a like a bomb waiting to go off for a long time so just expect him to be very broken depressed and mopey. also can you guess who im setting him up with?
